I see this is used in the new models. I just order my new one. I also see carbon ones too. do you used both or one? I would be more concern with ammonia built up. Just wondering thanks

When using the Aqueon QuietFlow LED PRO Aquarium Power Filter, the Aqueon QuietFlow Specialty 30/50 Ammonia Reducing Filter Pad and the Carbon Filter Cartridges are used together.

I change this filter every other week during regular filter changes. Doing so keeps the tank well within healthy levels for my GloFish, and they seem to appreciate

Would prefer a solid, larger pad to cut to size

I like to use these for shipping fish, adding a chunk in the bag keeps ammonia levels safe during transit. Just wish they had a larger pad rather than these dinky
