Questions & Answers

2 Customer Questions

does this food sink or float?

Answer by ChewyJan 19, 2022
The Tropical Granules are slow sinking in that some will start slowly sinking right away, some will hang in the water column for a bit and some will float for a while before starting to sink. This helps target fish that prefer to grab food from the bottom, mid water and ones that prefer to take floating foods.

Is this food ok for fancy Guppies. My tank is just 2 1/2 gal with a Tetra Wisper internal filter. I find it is better not to use flakes. I feed them the Fancy Guppy tiny pellets but want to rotate their food. Thank you for your past help.

Is not slow sinking

Sinks very quickly, falls straight to the bottom of the tank so none of my tetra get to eat any. Will still feed them to my corys.

Fish all seemed to like it

All my cichlids and community fish seem to like it but it sinks so fast that the midwater fish don’t get as much. But all the bottom feeders don’t seem to mind

I like this product

I crushed up the granules so they would be smaller, but my Bettas and Blue Rams and yoyo loaches have liked these and take them readily. First ingredient is fish

As Expected

Mildly semi-floating, so feeding in small batches gives the fish enough time to eat it before it hits the gravel.
