Great idea, but dog wasn't a big fan

I was really intrigued by this product when I saw crickets were the protein source, since I've read they're a more sustainable option. I've even tried them as protein for myself. The size was nice; little, which is great for training treats. They were a bit crumbly, though. Just picking one up could easily cause it to fall apart. But even so, there was a generous amount in the bag. I thought my border collie would enjoy the flavor, since he's a peanut butter fan. However, he did not seem thrilled. When I first offered him some, he didn't even take them. When I included them with other treats, he'd eat his favorites first and then check to see if I had anything else before eating the cricket treat. I did like how simple the ingredients were, though. I think it's a good product, but my dog just wasn't into it.

My golden retriever ate it, but he is a typical golden and will eat just about anything. He loves peanut butter, but was initially hesitant. I think it had to do with size of the treat. The treats are very small and I feel better suited for a small dog. I had to give him several in his bowl to see if he really liked them and he did. I think it has a good crunch, but difficult to tell because of the treat size. My 80 pound boy didn't have to work at any type of chew. I would not buy these for a large or even medium sized dog. It might be the size of a puppy training treat, but is not what I would call a high value treat so you might not get the intended effect. I do appreciate the extra protein and natural ingredients stated clearly on the back of the bag. For dogs with allergy issues this seems like a very clean product allowing your dog to have a treat you don't have to worry about.

My American Akitas love these treats! To be fair however, they love all treats. I love that it contains limited ingredients which are all great quality ingredients
My American Akitas love these treats! To be fair however, they love all treats. I love that it contains limited ingredients which are all great quality ingredients too - not just fillers. And the best part is no chicken! My dogs seem to have a sensitivity to chicken. They're bite sized which is a plus - I don't feel guilty giving my boys these treats.
