These stairs are more sturdy than I expected due to the memory foam, but the wood inside of them really helps the dogs stay balanced when using these stairs. They are used in my living room on hardwood floor leading to the couch and they don’t move when my large dogs use them! The grip on the bottom of these is great! I was shocked how well they stay in place (but you don’t have to worry about any sticky residue from the grip!) My dogs joints appreciate this product. I also appreciate that the cover is machine washable.

nearly perfect!!

these steps as a whole piece have weight to them & are extremely well made. from the foam (high density, no smell whatsoever) to the cover (nice weight, good zippers)

these steps as a whole piece have weight to them & are extremely well made. from the foam (high density, no smell whatsoever) to the cover (nice weight, good zippers) to the boards that go on top of the steps as added stability. please know this though: if you allow the foam to expand for 24hrs (as you should), putting the cover on is work, work!!! if you've ever bought a foam mattress pad or foam pillow insert you know the struggle getting the plumped up foam into a case or cover. in the end it was worth it though. really hope they last/don't sag/stay firm. would buy if i didn't get it thru pawsabilities and also recommend it

These are much better quality than my previous set of pet stairs! I love that they fold up and can be slid under the bed when not needed. The assembly was not as easy as we anticipated. The instructions say to let the foam expand for 24-48 hours before putting together. The foam inside is dense, which is great for the stairs functionality, but it has no give when assembling. We had to stuff the insert inside the cover and it took two of us using pretty good effort to zip it up. I think assembling the stairs before the foam has expanded fully would have made this process much easier. Still love the product and would recommend highly. I have a 2 pound 11 year old Yorkie that uses these, so I can’t speak on the stability/durabilty for a larger dog, but it does say they support dogs up to 100 pounds, so the majority of dogs could use these stairs.

This is probably a great set of stairs for a small dog, but my medium sized dog didn't feel comfortable using the steps. She seemed very unstable. I also had a large breed dog visiting and he wouldn't even attempt it. I do believe a small dog or puppy would use them, but i would get the bigger size even for a small dog. It is well made and seems like they would hold up.
