What's old is new again, only in a bag
I would prefer this item to be Unscented....this product was discontinued for some time, was available in 2 sizes boxed. I used it for years until I couldn't get it anymore...Now it comes in a bag and cost more. cats seem to like it, but they do prefer an unscented litter, they want to go where their own scent is familiar, not a perfumed litter box, but I like scented because it does mask some of the odors.
Clumps really well ..love not having to deal with a box!
It's great that this is a lightweight litter and even better that it doesn't come in one of those boxes that are hard to get recycled! This clumps very well. The only drawback I see is that it is really scented. I mix it with another unscented litter.
So glad this is back
I can't believe this is back, it is by far my favorite litter. It's lightweight and dust free. I absolutely hated the absorb x, it tracked everywhere and was not dust free. It is scented, but I don't find it overpowering. Not sure why Chewy is the only place I can find this. Arm and Hammer still says this is discontinued.
the litter works fine but the shipping of the product sucks the package took 3 days to get from warehouse in Ks. i dont know why you won't ship my orders from Clayton In. i get next day service from them everywhere else it's 3to 5days to get my order
This product is very heavily scented. The clumping aspect works really well, i could give four stars for performance but the smell is very overpowering. It smells like a can of bathroom spray exploded in my living room, still headache-strong after a week. Cats are even more sensitive to smell, i cant imagine what it’s like for them to have to be that close to such a strong odor when using the litter box. We usually use worlds best, lavender scent, the cats and i and like it very much. But eventually that litter starts to smell sour, so i thought i would try something different. I have used, and liked, the unscented version of the arm & hammer lightweight clumping when my shelter gave me some for my fosters. I was disappointed to not find it available from chewy but saw this lightly scented version and thought i would try it for my own cats. The packaging disguises the smell so well that i ordered two more bags thinking i will use it for my fosters, too - when i opened the first bag the perfume smell was overwhelming. I will use it up but wont be buying it again. A note about the packaging, i found the bag to be convenient but next bag i open i will just cut the corner & pour. The bag has dotted line across the top suggesting to cut the whole top off which then it becomes hard to control the bag when u pick it up to pour.
Pretty good, almost perfect
I have tried out quite a few different litter types, thankful that all three of my cats have adjusted each time, and the Clump and Seal still remains at the top of my list. The lightweight version does a great job at creating hard clumps, making it easier to scoop, but it lacks a little on containing the smell, though it might be the smell of the actual litter I don't like. The reason I am switching is because it's too dusty and I am tired of paw dust prints everywhere :/
Not good at all
This is the worse litter I have ever used. I wanted a light weight clumping with little tracking litter. This is not it. It highly smells. No odor control whatsoever.
hope you like scented things
As for clumping, this litter works well and it is 100% dust free, but I made the mistake of not reading the description well enough. The scent is so powerful that it fills up the basement and travels up the stairs. I won't buy it again because of the very strong smell.
Arm & Hammer light weight litter
Very happy with this. Have tried so many others. This one creates no dust, is super absorbing so really easy to scoop. Wish it had a handle or something to make it easier to pour as the bag is quite large, for me!
Not absorbent, cats aren't in favor
Pros: light weight, low dust, less tracking than other light brands, doesn't seem to cling to fur Cons: it didn't absorb urine?? The urine is sitting in a puddle on top of the litter. The cats have only used this three times while they chose Frisco 31 times. So the cats are not in favor of this and that may be why. I see them go in and dig and then leave to use the Frisco. When they did #2 they didn't bother burying it as if they wanted to get out ASAP. So I trust their judgement that they don't like this litter.
