I bought two of these beds, I have had them both for six+ months and at least one of my cats will use one every day/night! Sometimes both beds will be used at the same time (which is why I bought the second soon after buying the first). They spend a lot of time napping in these beds and one of my cats spends the night in one. The beds are a good size as well, my cats are 9.5 lbs and 10.5 lbs and they fit in them no problem.
We got this for our cat when we adopted her; I wanted her to have a cozy place to hide as she was adjusting to our home. She LOVES this bed! She take a daily 4-6 hour nap in it like clockwork, every single day. She has been in a cone of shame recently due to a procedure and cannot fit into the bed without it, and you can tell she misses it dearly (she sits in front of it staring at it :’( ). Might look into another Armarkat bed that is open so she can get into it with the cone! Definitely recommend!
Lacey and Lucy absolutely love their cave shape beds. We have them on top of a twin bed in their own room. From the moment they saw the beds they were inside right away. They sleep in them everynight and when they want to take a nap away from everything. They feel safe and secure in them. I would diffently recommend these beds.
I've purchased these several times over the years. My indoor cats being snobs, prefer the human beds, but our outdoor ferals love these in the winter. They hold a heated pad comfortably (with a little adapting for cord) We use "K&H Pet Products Lectro-Soft Outdoor Heated Pad, Small" and then place the entire thing inside an insulated feral tube. These are great for the shy cats who don't like sharing the cat duplexes we built.
My cat is somewhat of a "scared-y cat". I put it in the back corner of my closet behind where my long pants/dresses hang. It is the perfect hideout for him when company comes over. After company leaves, I find him all snuggled in there. Very happy with the purchase.
I got this pet bed for the colder months. Never having a bed like this before I didn’t know if my 3 cats would use it... but they all do. It’s well made, the bottom bed part is removable so it can be washed. I wish the tag on the front wasn’t so tacky or at least removable, but whatever. The bottom is nylon with rubber dots. My 18 pound manx fits but he pushes this beds capabilities, my 17 pound floofy cat fits perfectly and my 10 pound petite lady fits wonderfully, too.
I bought this for a larger size cat and he really likes it. I put it in the garage on a table. He sleeps in it every night. I also have another one on the landing at the top of the steps where he relaxes and watches the field until it gets too cold out. My cat is somewhat feral so I was glad that he likes his cat cave and now he has a safe place to sleep.
We adopted a 7 month old cat from our local shelter. He had never lived outside of the shelter so he's very nervous of wide open spaces. When we put him in his new bed he instantly relaxed. He feels protected and safe. It's soft, cozy and warm too!
My female cat absolutely loves her little apartment. She will jump in and preen for 5 minutes while purring, and then take a long nap. It is slightly smaller than I expected, fitting my 10 pound female perfectly but being too cramped for my 13 pound boy. Has a removeable cushion and the material feels like it will be easy to clean.
From the moment I put it down their curiosity got to them and now they take turns laying in it but one does take it over. And the second one went into my garage for my outside girl and she took to it right away also. I put both of them on a self warming mat and into the one in garage and they are in dream land now. I love this bed for my cats.
