Armarkat Cave Shape Covered Cat & Dog Bed, Brown/Beige

We keep our house cold at night, mid 60s, so I wanted to try an unheated but nearly enclosed place for our cat to hang out at night. This one works fine and when she is in it if I reach in, I can feel that her body temperature has warmed it a bit. But she still likes the open heating pad I have been using. I have considered putting the heating pad inside this house, but I am sure it will be much too hot. Maybe I will buy one of the small 10-watt pads and try it inside. It is built well, nice and soft and fuzzy.

Got this house for my pugs. I had bought a similar one years ago which both our pugs loved to sleep in. It was the same maker, however the house was a little longer and wider and "roof" was rounded and not the peak style. Anyway, over the years it got worn and the inside pillow was so flat that we tossed them. This house is very comparable and very well made. My dogs did not take to these as they now are larger and the house being smaller than expected it was not a good fit. That being said the inside pillow seems to fit better and cover more of the floor space. It is about the same thickness, so it too will eventually flatten, like most pillows. I think it was worth the price and if you have smaller dogs or cats, these would be great beds to have. They seem to like the comfort and coverage to feel they can tuck away and feel protected. Wish they were a little larger and my pugs probably would use them again.
