We tried the Artisanal Paws Digestive Enzyme Powder Blend with two of our three cats for a month. I appreciated that the ingredients are human-grade and that the powder is odorless (at least to humans), which made me feel more comfortable giving it to our older cats. When mixed into food, the powder made it slightly sticky in the bowl (almost like gelatin) but did not seem to change the food's flavor. One of our cats didn’t mind the powder or the change in texture and happily ate her pâté with it mixed in. Our other cat, who is more of a picky eater with IBS, ate it for the first few days but eventually refused it. We notice a stronger litter box odor during the first week, possibly due to the added fiber or the enzymes adjusting their digestive systems, but the smell went away after that. Overall, I didn’t notice any changes in their behavior. Both cats remain happy and healthy.

When I first open this product, I see a white powdery substance inside the small container. At first I did not notice the scooper, which was buried just below the surface. It doesn't appear to me to have any kind of smell. The label does not seem to indicate any specific situations in which this product is recommended nor does it state what sort of outcomes I may expect to see. It does give clear directions about how to introduce it to my cats. I followed those instructions, and I can't say that I've noticed anything in particular that I could say is as a result of feeding them this. I will say that my one cat seems to be more interested in supper, and impatient to get his food since I started mixing it in for one of his meals.

I have been using this powder twice per day for my senior kitty. I apply a half scoop on top of his wet food in the morning and a half scoop on his wet food in the evening. A little goes a long way, and it feels like this jar will last a long time as each dose is so small. I store it in the fridge next to his canned food which helps remind me to apply it. This also keeps the product fresh longer. My cat doesn't seem bothered by the taste either, which is definitely a plus. He doesn't seem to vomit quite as much as he used to. I have noticed that his stools seem softer, which must be more comfortable for him as well. The one downside is the powder is a little messy, but that's a pretty minor problem. Overall, it's a good product to try if your cat has digestive issues.

Tried on 2 cats, one who vomits too much and the other with soft stool. The cats did not object to the taste when it was mixed with food. After 3 weeks the soft stool seemed to get a little better. The vomiting on the other cat remained the same. So it's worth a try for stool issues if you haven't had success with other products. .

Healthy supplement

Love the ingredients and the idea behind this product. It appears to be excellent quality. My only issue is getting my cat to adapt to it. I have used regular probiotics

Love the ingredients and the idea behind this product. It appears to be excellent quality. My only issue is getting my cat to adapt to it. I have used regular probiotics and that would actually entice her to eat more. This is not like that so it takes some adjustment. I started slow like the directions said and she is just now after about 10 days actually eating it with her soft food. She outright refused at first. I have not been able to work up to the full dose yet so I can’t entirely say if it makes any big changes. I do believe she is having an easier time in the litter box. She is constipated often and she hasn’t been at all in the last few days so that very well could be this product. If you wanna try this and your cat is resistant give it time because mine did eventually come around to the idea. Just be patient. Cats are suspicious by nature and I swear Tinkerbell knows I’m trying to sneak a healthy product in on her. I do feel positive it will be very helpful with long term use and excited she is actually taking to it.

Coda is 14-years-old and on a raw diet (commercial frozen). For the past year or so, she has been having bouts of clear throw-up followed by nausea. The vet hasn't found anything and she is in perfect health otherwise. Someone recommended adding enzymes to her food. I went with this brand, specifically because of one review. (I looked at lots of brands. One had cinnamon--are they crazy?) When Coda is having an episode, I can hear her stomach/digestion squealing and squelching from across the room. This stuff is life-changing. Once I got her adjusted to the full dose, she was eating with vigor as before (instead of pecking at her food over long periods) and the stomach issues have been greatly reduced. We will be going back to the vet for another check, but this has radically improved her quality of life. She also recovers from her episodes (now about once a week) very quickly as compared to before. As older cats need to eat smaller potions more frequently, I just measure out the dose for the day, and then add it to her meals throughout the day. She is highly fussy (cats!) in general, but wolfs this down no problem. I hope this helps someone else.

My female domestic short-hair cat has a semi-sensitive stomach. She frequently has audible gas/tummy gurgling after meals and will vomit about once every 2 weeks, so I was excited to try this. I just sprinkle the recommended dose on top of her wet food. It mixes in seamlessly and seemingly goes undetected by her because she doesn't hesitate to eat it all up. She's been on it for about a week now and has shown signs of improved gut health already. She has not had a single bout of vomit and the tummy gurgling has decreased significantly. Her bowel movements also seem to be more regular and less stinky, which is an added bonus. The twist-top plastic jar packaging is compact, secure and easy to open. I also love that this product is made in the USA with veterinarian-formulated ingredients. It makes me feel good knowing she's getting the additional nutrients her food may be missing and that it's vet approved.

I love that it is 100% natural ingredients, and my cat doesn't seem to mind it at all so it must not have any poor taste to it. It blends in with the food invisibly, and sticks to it fairly well ensuring that my cat gets a decent dose. My only complaint is that the dosage is measured in scoops and there does not seem to be a scoop included.

I was surprised that my cats liked the smell of this, so that made it much easier to give to them! I started with just a quarter scoop and gradually worked up to a full scoop. It was a good way to incorporate this into their food. They haven’t had any bad reactions and they’re doing just fine enjoying it. I’m really happy to have found something that supports their digestion and that they don’t turn their noses up at!

Seems to work!

We have a geriatric cat with an irritable bowel and other tummy issues so this product was a perfect sample! We have been giving it to her for about three weeks now and during this time, there has seemed to be marked improvement in her appetite and weight maintenance. Her stools are also more regular and formed. The powder is fine and light, but does not go airborne when used, and it dissolves into wet food easily. It is odorless and seems to either taste good or go undetected as we had no issues in getting her to eat it right away. At this time, I highly recommend this powder! We will continue using it and may look into Artisanal Paws’ other formulas.
