Are the health monitoring colors applicable to cats as well as dogs?

I use pee pads around the cat litter box to catch excess and would like to have the health monitoring feature as my cat is prone to crystals. Would the monitoring system work the same for cats as it would dogs?

Monitor pee

Senior dog, doesn’t like te cold and has kidney issues. Gives him a place to go indoors and keeps check on his condition.

These are a little too light weight and do not stay in place on the ground. I’ve purchased others that have a bit more weight and can stay put. They are absorbent

These pads are so thin, they leak nearly every time my little 9 pound shih-poo uses them. I absolutely despise them.
