Solid Design and Function
Powder coated heavy metal with positive locking roof mechanism; easy fill using bucket. Easy to mount to 4x4" post top. Internal feeder floor is sloped to front
Powder coated heavy metal with positive locking roof mechanism; easy fill using bucket. Easy to mount to 4x4" post top. Internal feeder floor is sloped to front for seed transfer to tray feed troughs that eliminate seed shoveling. Small holes in front of feed floor to drain moisture if heavy rain. Anti-squirrel is easy adjust. Fun to watch the cardinals chase off the other finches. Feeder is worth the price.
The feeder and also the kind gift you sent us in memory of our Teddy bear dog.
The squirrel does not like this one. The perch could be a little smaller, however we hope the small birds get use to it. Thanks for the memory you sent us for

good construction should last a long time
The only concern I would mention is that if you wish to pole mount (I know the add states not pole mounted but a pole is included in the package) you will need to
The only concern I would mention is that if you wish to pole mount (I know the add states not pole mounted but a pole is included in the package) you will need to supply your own pole as the sectional one that is included likely will blow over in the first light breeze. I used a pipe flange and pipe to mount
Works well, built well.
Works well, built well. Nice blue color. Now I have both green and blue. I love frustrating the the squirrels. I feed them well with cracked corn. Fast food.

The best
This is one of the best squirrel-proof feeders you can buy. It’s been around for years for a reason!

Great feeder
Great feeder, just fill to half capacity or you will loose bird seed. Had one of these for many years, finally rusted out. Clean once a month with a water hose

The heavy duty handle is great
This is a heavy bird feeder. It holds a full 10 pounds, not 15, but that's about all I can hoist over my head anyway. The only thing I didn't notice was that it
This is a heavy bird feeder. It holds a full 10 pounds, not 15, but that's about all I can hoist over my head anyway. The only thing I didn't notice was that it has a single perch and I had to put an extra screw in it as the dowel was too short to reach the doohickey that holds it.
Best Bird Feeder
I’ve tried the Squirrel Buster, but it’s so expensive, so I could only afford the small one and it was so so. This bird feeder holds a lot more bird seed. The squirrels
I’ve tried the Squirrel Buster, but it’s so expensive, so I could only afford the small one and it was so so. This bird feeder holds a lot more bird seed. The squirrels don’t even try to get at it. And the birds we get are amazing! Our backyard is filled with gorgeous birds now, some of which I’ve never seen before!
Prior version was better - Squrrell quickly knocked out the bar closing feeder
Within 1 day after mounting, a squrrell was able to knock-out the bar keeping the squirrells from eating from the feeder. A quick engineering job enabled me to drill
Within 1 day after mounting, a squrrell was able to knock-out the bar keeping the squirrells from eating from the feeder. A quick engineering job enabled me to drill 2 holes near the ends of the plastic bar and tie the bar to the balancing lever so it will not pop-out again. Newer design using a cheap plastic bar that is retained simply by a slight widening behind the levels for retention is a lousy solution. Feeder designers should have come up with a better solution. The only reason I didn't send it back, was that I like the overall design and think my design change will work for some years. I have another feeder of the same design that is not 25 years old and a bit of rusted out, but still like by many birds
Bird feeder
The squirrel tried to get the seed and arm that the birds sit on to eat is broken - now it stays closed all the time - need new one!
