About This Item

Details

  • This bird food contains 100% safflower seed, a favorite food for cardinals.
  • This wholesome bird seed is loaded with fat, fiber, and protein.
  • In addition to cardinals, safflower seed attracts titmice, chickadees, doves, house finches, purple finches, and more
  • This seed is disliked by squirrels, blackbirds, grackles, house sparrows, and European starlings, so it acts as a natural deterrent to these pests.
  • For your convenience, this seed can be used in hopper or platform bird feeders.

Loved by birds in Central FL

It's funny that my birds here in central fl. do not like sunflower seeds. After everything else is gone that is what is left in the tray. They are more apt to eat them shelled but usually the squirrels are given leftovers. Safflower seed has been the game changer and the squirrels do not like it! I mix this with Wagner's gourmet fruit and nut and I have such a vast array at my feeders. Woodpeckers, bluebirds, warblers, flycatchers, orioles, house finches, and then of course wrens, doves, sparrows and the occasional wood thrush! Love my birds.

No squirrels!

Nothing but songbirds at the feeder now. Squirrels are gone, which is the most important as well as the cow birds and the starlings and all the other birds.

Audubon Park Safflower seed

This safflower seed is so much cleaner than the Kaytee safflower seed I got previously. Think I will stick with this brand.

Bird food

Safflower seeds are the go to for the finches, towhees, and Cardinals at the feeders. When the feeder runs out of safflower seeds, the cardinal will actually peck

Safflower seeds are the go to for the finches, towhees, and Cardinals at the feeders. When the feeder runs out of safflower seeds, the cardinal will actually peck on the side of our door to let us know they're out.

Safflower seeds, only

We like feeding this, as squirrels don’t like it and neither do grackles or crows. So, it’s a great way to attract songbirds.
