Instructions
Before starting a grooming session always wait until your cat is laying relaxed on the floor. Pet her/him a minute before beginning brushing. Let them sniff the brush before you begin working on their fur. Use a light touch! Remember that they have sensitive skin so go lightly! You can guide with snacks. Eventually they will trust you and the pet hair brush.

Before this product we had never brushed our cats! We have 2 domestic short hairs and despite being siblings their coats are different. One has shorter hair and not much comes out with brishing. It does not stay in the bristles very well. And when I pushed the releases it does fly out. The second one also has short hair but the texture is different and he has a bit more of it. His hair does stay in the brush better and there’s a good amount in the bristles so when it’s released with the button, it stays in a clump.

I was gifted a Aumuca slicker brush almost 4 years ago. It is still in almost daily use, and has proved to be so durable and the cats love it that I just obtained this second brush. I have an older semi-feral cat (Puffy) who has long hair prone to clumping and knotting. After some patient work she now comes running when I rub the brush on my leg. I love the lengthy handle, long, flexible bristles and, most importantly, the “self clean” feature. Simply pressing the button on the handle retracts the bristles so you can easily gather the hair. The flexible bristles allow removal of even tough hair clumps without causing her pain. Amazing durability and value!

Amazing Aumuca Self Cleaning Cat Slicker Brush is available for your enjoyment in the daily task of brushing your cat. My cat, Titan requires a daily brushing because of his thick coat of hair. If I do not brush Titan’s hair daily it will eventually become a problem of hair knots building on areas that he cannot reach with his tongue. This self cleaning brush made by Aumuca is awesome to work with in keeping that problem for happening. Plus the amazing part is you press down on the button on the handle and the pad raises up, pushing all the hair that the brush collected out of the brush. The mass of hair the brush collected becomes easy to remove by hand and can be dispose of easily into your trash can. Excess hair was held well in the brush until it was time to empty the contents. A daily brushing has reduced the amount of random cat hair that appears on the floor. The brushes are extremely sturdy and easy to utilize. My pictures show the amount of hair that the brush has picked up within about a five minute brushing session. These brushes could be compared to cat hair magnets.
