Awoo City Standard Dog Leash, 5-ft long, Spice

After buying the coordinating light blue Awoo collars for both of my golden retrievers a few months ago and loving them, I recently ordered the coordinating light blue leash and harness. The entire line is beautiful and elegant, unlike every other dog gear line I own. They are also well made. The collars and the harness are fantastic and my only issue with them is that the pale blue tends to get dirty easily when my dogs are rolling around on grass and dirt. I will definitely buy both again. However the leash, while cute and made to last, is poorly designed and incredibly uncomfortable to use. Poorly designed because it makes no sense to have a quick release clasp around your wrist while you’re trying to control your dog - you can easily push it accidentally and lose your hold on the leash when it releases. There’s also no comfortable place for it to go - no matter how you hold the leash, the tabs stabs into your hand. And the doubled-up rope that goes around your wrist isn’t padded at all - air’s scratchy and stiff to the point of being as hard as a rock. Odd little pieces of places embedded in the rope are almost impossible to get out, so the entire time you’re walking, this hard scratchy rope is forming a painful blister on your hand. Because my hands are small and the hard rope is inflexible, I can’t get a solid grip while my wrist is through the handle. Awoo needs a redesign on this product. I’m using a similar leash now that costs half as much because it has a soft silicone material wrapped around the rope at the handle and it flexes for a secure but not painful hold.
