Looking for a supplement to help my cattle dog’s itching & chewing herself. She eats an exceptional veterinary food along with high quality treats. I add pumpkin & ground flax seed to her food. She has been on the supplement for almost a month. I am starting to see consistent improvement for her. I add it to her feed which makes it easy. I think the price point is high and should be looked at. I am happy with results so will continue to purchase it but will keep watching for savings.

Results would need to be noticeable for the price

Have been looking for a new alternate to our favored fish oil supplement of many years (apparently out of business?) to promote healthy skin and glossy coats. The

Have been looking for a new alternate to our favored fish oil supplement of many years (apparently out of business?) to promote healthy skin and glossy coats. The ingredients in this Badlands Ranch powder sound good, plus, I've never been a fan of the smell and mess of liquid fish oil, so the powder form of this was a mark in the "plus" column for trying this. We give our dogs fresh baked chicken breast topper with every meal, and a top canine multivitamin (recommended by our breeders) and probiotic (the one recommended by our vet) every day. We spare no expense for our dogs health and happiness. Some reviewers have commented that they found this to be a good value based on the relatively small amount used following instructions by dog weight. Perhaps those reviewers have one or two small to medium dogs. We had four, now three, dogs. We've used several jars of this to give it a fair amount of time to make a noticeable difference. I don't see it causing harm, and the ingredients sound very healthy, but we can't see that any of the dogs itch less frequently or that their coats look better. This powder works out to a little more than $15 PER DOG PER MONTH. We spend a fortune on our babies, and would keep this up IF we could see a noticeable improvement in skin or coat. We can't see that it has caused any harm (other than to our pocketbook lol), but for an extra $45 - $60 per month, on top of everything else we spend, we can't justify it. This is the 2nd alternate we've tried to our old tried and true that can no longer be found. I plan to try another skin and coat supplement. Our dogs have feathered drop coats. Perhaps this is best for short sleek coats?

I've been using this with one of my dogs for almost two weeks and I am still undecided how I really feel about it. My dog does not really like it, although she is a generally picky dog. It's got a pretty strong mushroom & fishy odor, and the powder is prone to getting clumpy. The price is good for the amount of product you get, even if you have a large dog the recommended amount is quite small so you've got a lot of scoops to last you. I'm not sure if I'd get this again but I could see how it would be a very good supplement option for people who don't like the typical oil supplements that are more commonly used!

Nicely packaged with a safety seal for freshness which I appreciated. Came with a scooper for measuring. Has a fishy/mushroomy/earthy smell that isn't bad, but peculiar--hard to avoid when dealing with fish products I imagine. I sprinkled it over my dogs lick mat with a meal topper and she ate it no problem. Have yet to see results in her coat but I can see this being a viable alternative to messier fish oil solutions. I'll continue to use the product to see if I notice a change in my dogs coat.

I was skeptical with this product once I received it. Once I added the powder to their bowls, before the food, both dogs licked up the powder quickly. Since I just started the supplement, it is hard to determine if the product is actually working on their skin/coat. One dog sheds badly and I am hoping that it will help with his coat. Other than that, knowing the ingredients that are in this product, I feel it will help them overall.

Their fur seems healthier since starting this product which is a huge thing for us! It does have quite the fishy smell, which I am fine with but good to know if you are sensitive to that.
