Where is a sizing chart? Will the small fit a 7 lb toy dog?

Please see the picture below for the size chart.

Can the dog lay with this brace on?

Answer by ChewyFeb 17, 2023
This brace is intended to limit the overall abduction of the shoulders. Therefore, it is unlikely that the dog will be able to lay down “comfortably” especially if they plan on using the additional hobble strap.

Not big enough

It’s not long enough even on her front elbows. It’s awkward. This was the recommended brace and it is too expensive to be made so poorly.

I got the Lux shoulder brace for my chihuahua mix's MSI. It worked great for the first couple of months, but then the velcro straps would not stick. Balto told me to make sure it was clean. I had washed it, and removed the little bit of hair that was in the velcro. They also told me to order the replacement strap ends, which I did, and paid for. But it turns out that the fabric of the brace is the issue - not the velcro. It stopped holding the velcro. It's disappointing that the brace didn't last more than 3 months, especially for the cost, and that Balto wouldn't do anything about it. With a 11 year old chihuahua mix, it's not like it had a lot of wear and tear.
