Kept Getting Weevils In My Bar Ale Bags
When I first started out using Bar Ale for my flock, they really liked it and the quality seemed great with a good mix of textures with grains, seeds, and lentils
When I first started out using Bar Ale for my flock, they really liked it and the quality seemed great with a good mix of textures with grains, seeds, and lentils. However, after a few months the packaging changed and the feed started getting dustier and with larger chunks of chaff. Then multiple orders I received from Chewy’s Bar Ale bags contained Weevils! And not just a few Weevils, a bunch so much so that when you opened the feed to go into the air-tight feed container it looked like the feed was moving. The first time this happened, I thought it might be a fluke and gave it another chance. However, the second time it happened and both bags again contained Weevils, I contacted Chewy Customer support to get a refund. Customer Support was really helpful as always, and they asked if we wanted the bags replaced, but after having multiple orders of 100+ pounds of feed contain Weevils, we just got a refund and switched to a different brand.
Maybe I ordered the wrong thing?
I didn't like reading that it had corn and soy in it when I thought I was buying a feed without, but that could totally be on me- the girls just don't like the pellets

They'll peck around the pellets, kick the pellets out for the rats to come pick up after hours, beep beep beep about the sunflower seeds.... but they didn't really like the last pellets I tried either, so there's that!
High Quality Egg Layer Feed
Nutritious blend of pellets, sunflower seeds, peas and more instead of just boring pellets. Pellets are well formed and not crumbly. Chickens really like it.

This feed exceeded my expectations
After looking through the chicken feed I stumbled across this gem and took a chance and bought it. The packaging was nicely labeled and I loved how it was clear
After looking through the chicken feed I stumbled across this gem and took a chance and bought it. The packaging was nicely labeled and I loved how it was clear so you could see what you were getting. You could smell the freshness through the packaging which was a new experience. This isn't your typical layer feed, you can tell the ingredients sourced are top quality and were picked by someone who truly cares about their product. To say our girls loved the feed would be an understatement. I recommend this feed to anyone who has a flock and am now a life long customer.
