We have 2 Pug/Shih Tzu mix sisters, that are almost 5 years old. Rosebud is around 22 pounds, has a small mouth with an underbite. She needs a food that is small. Vixon is about 27 pounds with a medium sized mouth with a substantial underbite. Food size isn’t really an issue for her, but she does have a sensitive stomach. They have been eating Hill’s science diet adult sensitive stomach and sensitive skin small breed & mini breed for the 3 years we’ve had them. They normally have dry food once a day, 1 fresh food specifically cooked/prepared for them. So, when feeding them Bark dry food, I kept the schedule as close as possible. To be honest, I didn’t see or notice changes in potty time, dander, itching, upset stomachs. I will admit, they did really seem to enjoy it. Even though the pieces were 3 times bigger than the Hills food, Rosebud had no issue. She just slowed down and chewed more. It wasn’t hard for her to break it up and eat. I would, and am considering on making the switch to Bark brand. The ingredients seem decent, and it’s quite a bit cheaper.

My dog loves food and will eat anything edible. So it wasn’t surprising that he ate this food. He doesn’t normally eat kibble so I had to incorporate it into his meals gradually. Even so, it did cause some soft stools once he was fully on it so I only fed it for a couple days. The kibble pieces were small-medium in size and could work for most sizes of dogs. The only thing that bothered me was that it had an odd odor and listed chicken-by-products about halfway down the ingredient list. Meat-by product is not bad, per se as it’s still a source of energy but it’s something I try to avoid. So if your dog has a chicken allergy, you will want to avoid this food. In conclusion, I’d say this is an average dog kibble in terms of the ingredient list.

I can’t get over how much my 2 small dogs love this food!! Since it’s new to them I mixed their old food in with it the first time.
