I thought this toy would be too heavy when I first got it because it is a heavy sizable rubber tire. But I decided to give it a try and my dog Aggie is over the moon about this toy. She runs around, swings it, shakes it back and forth, flipped it onto her nose, flips it onto her lower jaw, stops and chews on it, throws it in the air, you name it. She’s just a medium-sized dog so if you’re worried that your medium dog might not like this larger toy I guess it depends on the breed, because my other mixed-breed medium-sized dog doesn’t show any interest in it but Aggie thinks it’s the best toy ever. She is an aggressive chewer and she has not managed to even scratch or dent this thing despite gnawing on it for weeks. Even the band which is made of tough, thick nylon has been chewed on as well is completely unmarked except by dirt. So I highly recommend this toy if you have a dog that likes to herd and run around like crazy with a toy in her mouth!

Beware of heavy chewer

My dog absolutely loved this toy for about a month but was able to chew through the strap and somehow swallow it whole. Luckily a week later he vomited it up.
