I had to immediately discontinue due the very high content of phosphorous in krill. Unfortunately. This product is NOT INDICATED for CKD cats, cats with kidney disease. CKD cats require LOW phosphorous. This is extremely HIGH phosphorous. However 4 stars for these lousy pumps which some don't even work. If the cat is healthy, this is great, but never for a CKD cat. I should have inquired first.

This is a really solid omega oil. The source of the omegas is from krill fish which is very important for cats. My cat has loved the taste and I have enjoyed adding this to the rotation. I will say the pump design could be slightly improved. I really love that the bottle is designed to be air tight so it minimizes how fast the oil spoils, but the oil itself is very thick and the spout is very small. This leads to the pump getting fairly messy easily. Overall still a great choice!
Helps with Toe nails
Our miniature schnauzer was not used to having stairs without carpet and cracked two toe nails. He did end up having surgery to fix one of the nails and we started
Our miniature schnauzer was not used to having stairs without carpet and cracked two toe nails. He did end up having surgery to fix one of the nails and we started this after the nail repair. It does makes his nails grow fast, but now his nails are strong and we have not had any issues. Once his nail was fixed we only give half the dose and it seems to get the job done. If you give the full dose he smells a little fishy. Half a dose helps him not smell. We highly recommend this if your dog has ever had a toe nail issue, toe nails are not fun to deal with.

This is based solely on whether or not my two cats enjoyed the taste of this. It has not been long enough to see if has helped with their shedding yet, which was my primary reason for purchasing it. That said, they seem to really enjoy the flavor. It is quite fishy smelling, which I've had go both ways (they liked some, disliked others). But with this product it doesn't seem to be an issue and they have been eating it all up with their wet food. I did cut back to every other day, because my one kitty got a little sick (which they say it can cause GI upset). Overall, I'm optimistic about the product and hopeful about the future results.
