Great but too small for dogs that are over 100lbs

By Bambi on Apr 28, 2021

These chews are great! But my dogs are over 100 lbs and I would need extra large size - the company does not make anything bigger than the ones I bought. I researched this product to make sure there were no imported ingredients from China - the only thing that does not come from this country is the Yak milk it is from Nepal and it is safe.

    Not strong enough

By PiperJo on Feb 27, 2021

I have an 11 month old pit mix who is an aggressive chewer. She tears up Benebones in a few days. I wanted to try something that was natural and these came recommended by other dog owners. She bit off good sized chunks almost immediately and got it down to half of its size in a half an hour or so. I am sure these are terrific for some dogs, but may not be for a super aggressive chewer.

    Dark and hard

By Thalia on Feb 3, 2021

This is my first time with this product and it looks nothing like the given image. It is dark and hard. I was debating soaking it in water to make it more tender. My Newfie is having issues eating it and, while it initially had her interest, she has left it alone. This treat doesn't even have the capacity to break when I hit it with anything.

Dog enjoys chewing this to break pieces off it, but then he Won't eat the pieces... Probably because they're like stones. Won't buy again.

    Very dark, maybe overcooked

By RobinQ on Dec 21, 2020

My dogs like the light colored yak chews but this one was unusually dark snd both dogs showed little interest. They have loved all their other yak chews.

    A favorite...

By MaryAnn on Aug 10, 2020

My pup loves these. They last for days and don't upset her stomach. I always watch her closely to be sure she doesn't break off a big chunk she might choke on, but for the most part only very little pieces come off which she chews and swallows easily. She is a pretty aggressive chewer. Kind of pricey but worth it in our opinion...

    This is not LARGE

By Marley on Aug 31, 2020

This dog treat is no bigger than from the tip of my finger to bottom of palm. It says large, but it is not. My mastiff is 205lbs and I cannot give this to him. He would swallow it literally.

    Terrible product

By Lisa on Jun 8, 2020

I am usually always pleased with things from Chewy. This product I am not, at all. Even my dog won’t touch it. And she’ll eat everything usually. I should have been warned, when I couldn’t find a weight or size anywhere on it. But as supposedly made with yak cheese, most always loved my dog. Only it is called a big “cheese” chew. But it is made out of lime juice, salt, yak & “COW” milk. No cheese. The word cheese is not even listed in the ingredients. Most importantly- my dog won’t touch it. So for 2 qty. costing near to $15, yea, very disappointed. And hard as a rock. While expensive for one treat, maybe it would be large, like it said and she’d enjoy it. But it is only about 5 inches, hard I am usually always pleased with things from Chewy. This product I am not, at all. Even my dog won’t touch it. And she’ll eat everything usually. Wish I had got 2 or 3 more packs of them instead. Much more for your money & edible. Live and learn. I don’t feel they deserve even one star. … more

    Barkworthies is not BARKWORTHY!

    By Tigger444 on May 13, 2020

I am completely disappointed with this! The worst thing about it was that the whole thin broke apart when I took the plastic off of it! Very bad for a BIG German Shepherd Dog. If I could mark "0" STARS, I would. Definitely worth the price I paid for it. I wouldn't buy this again if it was 25 cents. AND NO, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS ITEM!
