The powder is very absorbent. Griffice has an extremely thick coarse outer coat , and a dense , downy undercoat. The powder did a great job of penetrating both and suspending alot of dirt and oil so that it can be easily brushed out. Also, it leaves both coats smooth and clean feeling. It has a subtle, clean, citrus fragrance that deodorizes well and fleas seem to hate everything about it - bonus.
