Does what it's supposed to do.

He doesn't mind it as much as we thought he would. Because of other comments I got one size smaller than I measured and fit is good. Anti-forage piece is great

The sizing chart is confusing. I got it wrong for all three pups

I ordered 3 muzzles for 3 Std. Poodle pups aged 6 months to prevent inappropriate grazing. These will not fit any of the pups, even the smallest.

Size 8

Size 8 was perfect for our small blue heeler 38lbs delicate face and muzzle. He has a habit of biting the leash out of excitement or frustration, so this works great

Troublesome sizing

I studied the sizing charts and measuring instructions as well as read through comments from previous purchasers. Finally made a selection and still got it wrong

I studied the sizing charts and measuring instructions as well as read through comments from previous purchasers. Finally made a selection and still got it wrong - too big! The length is about right but there's a lot of volume below the jaw so my dog could just paw at the muzzle and pull it off. I will donate this muzzle and order a smaller size. Several commenters indicated trouble with the safety lock on the release buckle. It is small and difficult to see, and I didn't see any instructions anywhere telling how to operate it. Please Baskerville, give instructions somewhere!

too big

I guess the muzzle would be fine for a normal sized dog, but the size 1 is too big on my 5 lb Maltese. It is a little better than the Invisa, but still too big

I guess the muzzle would be fine for a normal sized dog, but the size 1 is too big on my 5 lb Maltese. It is a little better than the Invisa, but still too big. I guess the 1 star is for Baskerville not offering a muzzle for the smallest of dogs. Every muzzle I have tried from them is too big.

Study and comfortable!

My reactive dog has always haaaaated his muzzle. He would constantly try to tear it off at the first chance he could. I do not have that problem with this design!

My reactive dog has always haaaaated his muzzle. He would constantly try to tear it off at the first chance he could. I do not have that problem with this design! It’s got a soft cushion on the nose bridge and no straps to get stuck in their vision! The hard plastic is study and I don’t actually need to worry about the extra insert, although I really appreciate the extra safety if I felt it was necessary. All around a wonderful purchase that has given my sweet scaredy-cat a new lease on life!

Very stiff and large

This is not good if your dog has a sensitive face n throat. The plastic is extremely hard and uncomfortable for them. Also, the bottom strap cuts into the throat

This is not good if your dog has a sensitive face n throat. The plastic is extremely hard and uncomfortable for them. Also, the bottom strap cuts into the throat and trachea area. The size I ordered was too large, but I don’t think this would be a good muzzle for a small dog because of trachea sensitivity. I am going to try to find something made with a softer more malleable plastic on Etsy custom sized and more comfortable. Chewy should sell muzzles, suited for smaller dogs that actually work, but aren’t horribly uncomfortable like this one.

Purchased for adult Wheaten Terrier to help with scavenging when off-leash. With the guard in place, it's the appropriate length for his snout (size 9) and keeps him from picking up small items. The lock on the clip is a little annoying but overall, it's suits our needs.
