I needed this for training purposes for my puppy. Make sure you pair this with a collar sold separately. Sometimes I had to twist the buckle around the collar. My puppy is good at removing it otherwise. Customer service was great! I asked for a replacement as I didn't put it on her right the first time and she shredded it. They sent me a replacement at no additional cost. Truly grateful!

Terrible latch

I’m sure the muzzle itself is top quality, but the latch is a nightmare. I got rid of the ridiculous lock mechanism which is completely unnecessary and unwieldy

I’m sure the muzzle itself is top quality, but the latch is a nightmare. I got rid of the ridiculous lock mechanism which is completely unnecessary and unwieldy. Still I have problems getting the latch to unlock once it is on him. I saw some other people made the same comment. I cannot use it.

forehead strap

we went through 3 other muzzles within a week as Miss Piggy would wrestle with our bigger dog Cocoa and Cocoa would get hold of the forehead strap until Miss piggy

we went through 3 other muzzles within a week as Miss Piggy would wrestle with our bigger dog Cocoa and Cocoa would get hold of the forehead strap until Miss piggy could get hold of it and chew it. I keptfixing it but that got old. This one has no strap and so far it has stayed on her. I think she likes it better for the comfort fit.

Non-scary-looking muzzle

I got this muzzle for my frightened dog to wear at the vet, after she got so panicked by being restrained for a blood draw that she finally snapped at the tech

I got this muzzle for my frightened dog to wear at the vet, after she got so panicked by being restrained for a blood draw that she finally snapped at the tech. I deliberated for a bit over what size to choose (got size 3; dog is a 62 lb mutt with a pointer-ish head) but it fits, and shapes easily for a custom fit with a brief soak in hot water (per package instructions). The padding cushions dog's snout and straps easily adjust. Also this muzzle comes with a retainer strap that fastens the head strap to the dog's collar to prevent her swiping it off over her head. I don't think this muzzle would be appropriate for a dog that was a serious biter or truly aggressive, but to prevent nips it is perfect.

Bought this for vet visit and measured my dog. Unfortunately the muzzle does not take size of the head in consideration. I could not tighten the muzzle around his head tight enough. Having the muzzle tight enough around the head is the most important safety feature. Very disappointed

My dog struggles with nail trims and tries to nip. We got this muzzle to keep us safe while working on desensitization and it is a great choice. Very humane and well-designed. I like that you can mold the front to fit your dog and that it provides access for water and treats. Only thing is the size chart is a little funky, we had to order multiple sizes and return because our dog would be a size 4 by the chart but actually needed a size 2.

Frustration plus!

I have ordered and received two of these muzzles. The problem is that the mechanism to open and close the muzzle to be able to put it on or take it off. I have pinched

I have ordered and received two of these muzzles. The problem is that the mechanism to open and close the muzzle to be able to put it on or take it off. I have pinched the tabs that should release it with all my might and nothing happens. As if introducing a muzzle isn’t traumatic enough imagine having to remove it over your dog’s head. She barks and runs away at the sight of it.

I guess the muzzle would be fine for a normal sized dog, but the size 1 is enormous on my 5 lb Maltese. I guess the 1 star is for Baskerville not offering a muzzle
