Bucky and I love this blanket. It gets very hot here in South Texas, and this blanket provides a nice reprieve from the heat. It mainly stays on my couch as a cover, but sometimes we take it outside and I drape it over his dog bed/cot. I think I like it more than he does, though - it came in handy one time when I was sick with a fever.

We love it

My dog loves the coolness. Washes up great and if I can’t hang it out to dry, I dry it on low heat. We have a large for our bed and a medium for her crate.

It's been very hot here at 90+ degrees. (I know, I know but this is Seattle... that's hot for us I swear!) But my pup is double coated (Jindo/Akita mix) and it's seemed to help her. She'll lay on it for a couple hours and then move to her other bed--she does this with or without the blanket in summer and winter; she just likes to change spots often--and though that spot on the blanket is not as cold as the untouched spots, it's still cooler than the surrounding area without the blanket. Her side/fur is also cooler after laying on this blanket than without. So I'm glad I snagged this and will be buying another (or even two more) so I don't have to move it to the bedroom at night!

The blanket feels cool but it hasn’t changed how awful my pup feels in Arizona conditions. He tried to enjoy it but he was hot to the touch under or on top of the blanket. He eventually went and used a green pet pad. Just get that and save your money here.

This blanket is really cool right out of the package. It does warm a bit when dog lays on it; however, when they move it cools fairly quickly. It washes well. I hang to dry outside unless weather is unsuitable, then I throw it in the clothes dryer on air dry (no heat) cycle.

Suffering under the heat dome . . .

Recently moved into a home without working AC - then the heat dome arrived. My three rescues couldn't take off their fur coats and the yard wasn't fenced yet, so

Recently moved into a home without working AC - then the heat dome arrived. My three rescues couldn't take off their fur coats and the yard wasn't fenced yet, so they couldn't languish in the shade of a tree. They were suffering: panting and drinking lots of water - and giving me bewildered looks. Then, the electric went out for a day! So, I tried this product, among other things. The fabric does have a cool feel to it. And, my dogs seemed to prefer them to the carpet, but, not the wood floor. I even tried one out to see if there was an appreciable difference. Yes, some. I had a cooling pad years ago that was truly cool - similar to the type of cooling pads that humans use for strains, etc. that are chilled in the freezer. This product doesn't come close to delivering that level of cool, but, it does provide some relief. Just wish it was more structured. I lay them out on the floor and they easily get bunched up, etc. Glad to be able to provide some relief to my 'girls', but, I cannot say that I recommend the product when there are other ones that provide more benefits with preferred features.

Cooling effect is worth it

Giving it 4 stars due to it being a bit smaller than expected. Granted, my 40lb dog does very well take up the space of the blanket, but I did think it was going

Giving it 4 stars due to it being a bit smaller than expected. Granted, my 40lb dog does very well take up the space of the blanket, but I did think it was going to bigger to be able to take up the space in the backseat of my car. It very much feels cool to the touch and it helped my dog on hot days, but I suggest hosing it down on extremely hot ones to have a better cooling effect. I’ve washed it twice in the washer and dryer and have had no issues. Delicates & on either low or no heat, but I suggest doing that for 10 mins and then air drying the rest of time.

These are wonderful! They are actually cool to the touch and I want one for myself. I have a 14 and 15 year old pitty pups that love the sun but hate the heat. They will look for these blankets when they come inside and sprawl on to them. The coolness doesn't last long but I will see my pups move around and find the cool spots. Very happy with the purchase
