Safety Protection

The heated pad provides safe winter warmth with certified overheat protection, equipped with UL-tested heating wire and FCC standards. Its cable is routed from the roof to avoid ground moisture and can be secured with Velcro tabs. Note: Please remove the heating pad once the ambient temperature be-comes warm to prevent discomfort caused by overheating.

Pleasantly surprised with this outdoor cat house

I have had my cat house set up for a couple of days now and I am finding that this is a great little house. The house itself was super simple set up. The instructions were clear and it was very straightforward and easy to put together. No tools required! It is very light so I could move it around with ease. I set it up in the house to get my personal cats' approval on it first, and they gave me the thumbs up right away. The real test would be putting it outside. We have many stray cats in the neighborhood, so I knew it wouldn't take long before it was discovered. Lol and behold, the very next night after putting it out, I have my first visitor! I will likely move the house to a slightly less busy area but it was great to see that the design attracted outside cats right away. It is very good looking so I don't blame them. We put the cat house outside when it was nearly 0 degrees F to see how well it would operate and it did a pretty darn good job. I didn't expect it to be very warm, but it kept the temperature reasonable compared to the ambient temperature. I were a cat who had to decide between sleeping in 3.5 degree temps and 30-40 degrees, I would choose the latter all day long. I am looking forward to providing shelter to my area's strays for the winter and for winters to come.

This cat house was not as I expected, but my fault for not reading the description carefully. It must be placed in a sheltered area and can't just be plunked down

This cat house was not as I expected, but my fault for not reading the description carefully. It must be placed in a sheltered area and can't just be plunked down outside where ever you want. Our plan was to put it inside a dog house outside, but we found that no matter where where we were going to place it, we couldn't plug it in since it has a short electric cord and cannot be used with an extension cord. I'm not sure how this house could even be used in a barn since the cord is so short and the heater doesn't have a timer. The house is constructed with some thin material covered by a plastic-like material. It's exceedingly easy to assemble with Velcro-like fasteners. All in all, not recommended unless you're going to use it inside a house.

This is a very well made cat house. The insulation inside is nice and I didnt realize prior to getting it that you get a heat pad for inside it as well as have the material that will trap in their own body heat. We dont live in an area that gets much below freezing so I cant speak to how well it would work in colder states but for where we live this is plenty. The only down side is our cat doesnt quiet know how to get into it so I may add some velcro to the flap so I can roll it up and secure it at the top for training purposes but thats more of an issue that may be specific to our cat vs the actual product.

I live in an area with a lot of stray cats, and this has been great for them! It was much easier to put together than it looks, as everything is just Velcro. Additionally, I love that you can remove the door flaps because I was worried about them startling the strays who might not be used to them. I’m also a big fan of the fact that it’s a little bit off the ground so that there’s no worry about the house flooding or its inhabitants getting wet. At this point our strays are still a little wary of it because it’s still new, but they’re warming up to it quicker than expected.

We will be keeping it in our garage as he goes in and out of there. If we do put it on the the porch we will put a weight in it to keep the wind from moving it.
