Can the dogs poop and pee while in this chair

Answer by ChewyNov 03, 2022
This wheelchair is designed in a way that will not hamper your pet’s ability to relieve itself. Being on the wheelchair and going for a walk also reinforces their “bathroom” schedule.

Will my dog be able to pull it over the grass lumps and bumps

Answer by ChewyMar 22, 2019
With this wheelchair you can take your pet to a grassy park, the beach, pebbly lakesides, or tramping in snow. Just keep in mind that supervision is key particularly in rougher terrains as bumps and ruts can tip the wheelchair over.

Will my dog be able to go up and down stairs in this wheelchair ?

Answer by ChewyJan 07, 2020
Your pet will be able to go up and down steps with help and supervision.

What weight does the large dog wheelchair carry

Answer by ChewyNov 03, 2022
Sizing is not determined by weight. Measuring your pet to determine which size Best Friend Mobility wheelchair will best fit is the quickest and easiest thing. The only information you truly need to get the right size Best Friend Mobility wheelchair is the measurement from the floor to your pet’s back—at its hindquarters. Depending on your pet’s current capabilities and its willingness to cooperate, this can be a 1-person or 2-person job. If your pet has very little or no rear-limb strength, one person can be the support while the other does the measuring. This Large size wheelchair is designed for pets measuring 20-26 inches, from the floor to their back.

Instructions were not good and hard to adjust to get the fit I wanted

Once I got it together and adjusted it's doing what we need.

Disappointed

The wheels don't stay on. We've had to replace a wheel bearing. The wheels come loose very easy. When the wheels are put on too tight, they don't move.

Good quality

It provides support to the dogs failing legs. He likes to run in it and he doesn’t fall.

I'm glad that this seems to have helped other's pups. I do agree with most of the reviews that say the instructions are horrible. It took me an hour with the instructions and a YouTube video to get it put together. Unfortunately once it was together it didn't help my girl at all. It didn't keep her back legs off of the ground and was very painful for her. I had to get her out of it as quickly as I could and won't put her back in. This will be going on the trash.

Our best friend is 14-years old now, and walking is becoming increasingly hard. We need something like this to keep him functional in his last bit of time. We measured him as required, and this is "the perfect" fit according to the listing. Either those measurement guidelines are wrong, or the product just doesn't work. The frame seems to be too long. The rear harness (no matter which direction we attach it) falls right off his rear. It's insane. The front bar slouches down, not giving the necessary support to do exactly what this product is meant to do - support his hardly working back legs. The wheels are massive, making it nearly impossible to get him through any regular width hallway. The cherry on top, the instructions are trash. Clearly parts were edited over time, making them hard to follow and/or contradictory. I went to YouTube to find videos, the manufacturer didn't do much better there either. This has been so useless, I'm not even very certain the next size down will work. I guess we'll try another brand/size. I highly suggest not buying this one though.
