Best Friends by Sheri Throw Shag Dog & Cat Blanket

So disappointed with the blanket. Out of the package and there’s a hole and my pup pawed on it and the whole thing unraveled. The static was irritating too. I don’t understand why this product is still getting great reviews. I read that it washes terribly, I wish I got to that point at least. $15.00 down the drain!!! May be the last time I order anything online to save a few dollars from going to a competitor’s store and purchase it in person. At least I’d know it wasn’t for my dog and not buy it. Lesson learned.

My little Shih Tzus just love these blankets. I bought the small one with the cuddler bed and my little girl Athena just loved it so much that I bought a second larger one for on the foot of the bed where she sleeps. My girls cuddle up on their shag blanket every night. I know there are a number of brandsout there, but I do think that the Best Friends by Sheri cuddler and blankets are superior quality. They are so soft and they wash very well.

I bought this for my rescue pup. I wanted something to keep her warmer on cold nights, but this has become her favorite every day blanket despite temperatures. She loves laying on it on the floor or even on her bed, but she loves it over her at the end of the day for bedtime. This blanket washes so well and does not shed one bit (I did wash it after I opened the package before using it). My pup doesn’t have accidents, but she does chew her toys on it and slobbers all over it and just the one side is damp, so it seems like it would withhold mild accident.

I received my dog blanket yesterday, and as is usual for me, wanted to wash it before I put it into use. The blanket felt luxurious, one of my cats camped out on it immediately. After reading the reviews that stated the blanket was ruined by washing, I was really hesitant as I put it in the wash today. I washed it in cold water by itself, on the delicate wash cycle but strong spin. When I took it out of the wash it looked fine. I put it in the dryer on delicate heat for 10 mins, with a 10 minute cool down. I held my breath when I opened the dryer door......and....... it was PERFECT!!! MY little dog loved this blanket.. as I watch him get comfortable on it every night the first week we had it When it came time to wash it, I followed the directions to the "T" Wash delicate cycle and dry on low heat... This is what I did. I actually washed it by itself and dried it on low with only one other item in the dryer. The blanket looked normal when it came out of the washer. The same as it did when it went in. That was not the case when it came out of the dryer. the soft hair was not longer long and soft it was all matted down. I was so upset... Our Mickey will never be without this blanket again! I hesitated to get this thinking he might gnaw off some of the shag pieces and mess up his sensitive digestive system. But, from the first moment, this blanket is far away his favorite toy. To say he loves it is an understatement. He's addicted to it. He's sensitive to cold, and this blanket is just the bomb! It's his #1 comfort item. Now, I'm buying another - because I don't want to ever be without it.

The jumbo size is smaller than I expected, but fits well into a crate. I have a rescue dog who struggles with settling down and sleeping, so I got this to try to make her crate a cozier experience overnight. She falls asleep so much faster with it, and has been sleeping longer as well. I just got it recently, but she is a big fan.

My girl absolutely loves her new blanket and I’m excited because now I can have my blanket back! I tuck her into her bed each night and she disappears into a sea of shag! lol. She likes to sleep in my bed during the day so I throw it on the bed each morning, and she tunnels under it for her well deserved naps for 90% of the day. It appears well made and doesn’t seem to shed. Pupper sheds enough on her own! Hopefully it will wash well too. But overall we love it so far.

Our dog loves the matching donut dog bed so we decided to grab this blanket for her. She likes lying on top of it on the floor (so much for the dog bed). It also doubles as a snuffle mat because she takes her milkbones to it and the crumbs get lost in the shag! She'll spend 10 minutes licking at it and trying to get the crumbs out. We machine washed it and tumble dried as instructed and it is sooo soft, cleans up perfectly. Totally recommend for your dog!

My dog loves blankets so I bought him this blanket with a bed. He loves this blanket more than the bed. I bought the standard size for my mini aussie if anyone is curious about how big the blanket is and if it will work for a medium sized dog.
