Due to the purity of the fish skins, they may crumble when eaten. Serve over a smooth surface for easy cleanup.
They are like crunchy round biscuits a little larger than a half dollar in diameter and about 3/4 in ch in thickness. My dog is not as much a fan of these as the Honest Kitchen Ocean Chews made of wolffish skins. Product good but comes down to doggy preference.
We are switching our senior Maltese dog to a cod-based diet to see if it'll help with his itchiness and soft poo. Was so excited to find this cod skin treat. But so disappointed that these treats are hard as a rock! Not exaggerating. I tried breaking it with a knife, a crab cracker tool and to no avail. I soaked in hot water and still HARD. Maybe a big big dog with mighty teeth can eat this. Sad.
My dogs are nuts for this treat! And it's fish skin from fish caught in icy cold northern waters, so I think they're safe for them. So what's not to like!
My dogs absolutely love these! Opening the jar, though, will fill the room with a fishy smell. I just take the dogs outside to give them one of these treats.
These are great. You can squeeze them into a kong and my dogs will stay busy for a while
Whoa, they are stinky, but my dog loves them. Great for his teeth, his coat, but his breath not so much.
I can get my dog to do the Can-Can for these treats! They are a little large for him, so I just cut, or break them into 3 or 4 pieces. They are very hard in texture, so it takes him a bit to finish one. Training has been going very well since I switched to these little gems.
These treats are good quality but the jar was so short that I decided to weigh them - only 5.7 oz in there. I paid for 7.2oz. I feel at this price point they should at least give you what they say they will.
Our Dachshund loves the cod treats, but they're too big. One of these treats could easily become two if I could cut them in half. Everything else about this treat is perfect. When we give her one of these, she acts like she's won the lottery.
My 5.5 month puppy loves fish skins. Having the fish skins in this compact/dense nature is great because it slows down his eating and really lets him focus on his treat. Also, it’s a great teething treat!
