I bought this expecting a mat and a scratcher that has substance behind it to hang. I got a mat that can be rolled up and isn't substantial like a post. The overall weave looks sturdy, but there is no weight to it to use as a hanging scratcher

Don't belive the size

I bought two of these mats for on top of a cabinet and thought they would be perfect size but they came in a full 1/2 - 3/4 inch smaller then the picture on both

I bought two of these mats for on top of a cabinet and thought they would be perfect size but they came in a full 1/2 - 3/4 inch smaller then the picture on both sides. Other than that, the build quality seems good with a rubber type backing, velcro if you decide to roll them up and a very long sisel rope hanger. I'll see how they hold up.

My cat won't go near it, but your cat may love it...

I have hung it from a door. I have wrapped it around her stand up scratching post & I have laid it flat on the floor. I have even put catnip on it, which she loves,

I have hung it from a door. I have wrapped it around her stand up scratching post & I have laid it flat on the floor. I have even put catnip on it, which she loves, but she still won't touch it. I have taken her front paws and tried to show her that she is allowed to claw it...she just doesn't like it. I gave it 3 stars because it seems to be made well and it was only about $15.00 when I bought it, which seemed like an ok price, but what matters is if your cat will use it or not. I was so hoping my cat would like it. It didn't work out, but it may work out for your cat. Not a bad product...if your cat likes it and will use it. One last thought: I said it seems well-made, but with usage, I don't know how well it hold up. Might be great or not last long. I have no way of knowing.
