Problems with jump set

1- I set the bar at 16" but it was >17"; the bar at the bottom adds the extra ( it measures 1" plus the joint fitting to the upright. So they cannot be set at the

1- I set the bar at 16" but it was >17"; the bar at the bottom adds the extra ( it measures 1" plus the joint fitting to the upright. So they cannot be set at the correct height and could cause injury. 2, The caps are too small to fit; I tried to buy PVC caps but 1/2 " is too small & 3/4" is too large. There was only 23 not 24--not that it mattered because I could not get them on. 3. The directions are one paragraph not steps. Looking at the picture makes it simple to put together. I had hoped to use them to help my dog get over his fear of the new displacable jump that becomes mandatory for obedience in July (some clubs are already using them)
