Is it safe to swallow?

This toy is not meant to be eaten, but if the dog does happen to ingest pieces of the BetterBone while chewing it is perfectly safe for small pieces smaller than the size of oatmeal flakes or rice grains to pass through their digestive tract.

Awesome Bone for an Aggressive Chewer

Johnny Cash, our 16 month old Rough Collie, has gone through so many bones. This BetterBone is PHENOMENAL. Looks like new and he chews on it, carries it and plays with it everyday -- so much, that I just ordered a 2nd one for Ruby our 9 year old Collie.... She is Not big on bones, but loved Johnny's.

Definitely great for aggressive/ heavy chewers!

My puppy can DEMOLISH most of the Nylon bones. I was going through 1-2/week which was getting expensive let alone them being ingested. She LOVES to chew so I was looking for something that was safer and last longer. I bought the 'Hard" one and bingo!! It lasts and she doesn't break off as many pieces. The sound of her teeth while chewing is frightening because it sounds like her teeth are cracking (just a heads up). I do watch her closely with these and all toys because of her heavy chewing but these are definitely a hit!

Our dog does love it but in the morning she had diarrhea all over the house.

BetterBone is made mostly of cellulose and dogs don’t have the enzyme to digest cellulose. The company should know this fact.

Waaaay better than Benebone

My dogs are small 5lbs and 15lbs but boy can they chew. I love that tiny pieces of the bone (plastic) aren't being swallowed by my dogs. My doodle especially loves

My dogs are avid chewers and have used Benebones for a number of years. I wanted to give these a try as a plastic-free alternative, but the hard version was way

My dogs are avid chewers and have used Benebones for a number of years. I wanted to give these a try as a plastic-free alternative, but the hard version was way too hard. My dogs tried them for 3-4 days and then abandoned them. I'm going to try the medium hardness. We shall see, but I hope these work out.

I was pleasantly surprised with this chew toy! My puppy is an extreme chewer so I was looking for a safe alternative to a nylabone. These are really hard, but my pup loves them! And supposedly they are not dangerous if my pup ingests a small piece (hope that’s true!). So far, she really loves them!
