Instructions

Precaution: Risk of burns: Remove any metal items, e.g. collar, from the treatment area before switching on the device as they can become very hot. We recommend short treatment times at the beginning. However, even when the unit is used correctly, there's been cases of oversensitive or allergic reaction to the heat treatment (e.g. intense redness, blisters, itching, heavy sweating).

  • Always close or cover the eyes when radiating the face.
  • The Time Display (4) will show 15 minutes (Recommended treatment time). Important: Do not touch the hot glass During treatment
  • Examine the part of the body treated frequently and check for skin reactions. Cease exposure immediately if there are any signs of oversensitivity or an allergic reaction, and consult a doctor.
  • Do not cover up or pack the unit away while it is still warm. After treatment Note: The bulb is fragile when hot. After operation, let the device cool down before you move it.

This heated lamp is electric and includes an AC-Adapter with a cord winder.

Can you put in a whelping box and if yes, how would you hang it?

We do not recommend that the unit be used in a whelping box, as the unit should not be hung at all. It should be placed on the floor or on a table for safety.

can this be used outdoors?

This product works, but the description is misleading. It's clear from the packaging and instructions this product was not intended for pets. It also shows a picture

Noisy and not really meant for pets

The unit produces a nice amount of heat. The fan, however, is loud. The documentation shows this was meant for human heat therapy. None of my cats will go near

The unit produces a nice amount of heat. The fan, however, is loud. The documentation shows this was meant for human heat therapy. None of my cats will go near it when the fan is on - which is all the time that the unit is on - and that defeats my purpose. You may have better luck.

Warmth-obsessed cat loves it

This is Smokey warming up his neck. He is 13 and obsessed with being warm and with sunlight and lamps, so I knew he would love this. He is happy to provide the first review. He likes to rotate around in the 15 minute treatment time and then curl up as the fan continues to blow warm air after the light turns off. The only downside so far is him yelling at me to turn it on but I'm only allowing 3 treatments a day. The timer is very helpful with that.
