Terrible Purchase
Purchasing this aquarium was a huge mistake that resulted in the death of my fish. I even went out and bought more goldfish in hopes of making the most of the situation
Purchasing this aquarium was a huge mistake that resulted in the death of my fish. I even went out and bought more goldfish in hopes of making the most of the situation and even those fish died within the first few days. Beyond this - the tank is far from convenient to clean. There is one little whole at the top of the tank where you are supposed to sprinkle food collects - the problem is moisture collects there and the fish flakes stick to the sides causing a gummy mess that draws nats. The task of cleaning the tank is virtually impossible. We ended of purchasing a long tube to siphon water out of the tank. Lastly, the acrylic material the aquarium is made from distorts the view of the fish, enlarging them as if looking through a magnifying glass. The only positive of this purchase was the return process. Chewy refunded my entire purchase without hesitation.

Love the design of this tank and my beta looks great in this. The only two issues that I have is because of the design. of the bowl, my fish disappears at certain angles while looking at the tank (not that big of a deal). Other than this, I love the light and how it changes colors, I just wish that it had a sunrise to sunset option. This tank looks great! I am turning this into a crystal ball fish tank :)

Too many limitations and risks
1. The sphere causes a bunch of issues. They’re not kidding about the magnifying glass effect. There can be absolutely no sunlight on this. And if you have a

And if you have a heater on the back it looks 3 times bigger. Plus any fish lingering in the bottom area are nearly impossible to see. 2. The lid has absolutely no gap to accommodate a heater cord. But the lid is a brittle plastic and Biorb does not offer any replacements if you crack it while cutting a hole for the heater. All in all it’s a glorified goldfish bowl not really suited for tropical fish. And definitely not suited for the complexity of salt. I was setting up for FW tropical.
