I have bought two of these ladders and the rungs are not securely attached to the side rails and become detached just by handling the ladder. The plus side (from my birds’ perspective) is that it is easier for them to chew this thing to pieces in only a few days. I won’t be buying this again.

Overall the ladder construction is fine and it works on the play gym the way I planned. However, the coating on the rungs is very rough with a few serious sharp spots that are not good for a bird's foot, especially if they are putting pressure on it to push up. I added vet wrap to each rung and wrapped it enough to cover the roughness so it works but I would recommend buying one with plain wood.

the colors

I thought I could just hang it in the cage to help my bird get around. He does not like way it moves unless the bottom if resting on the floor of his cage.

Bird ladder

The side rails should also have the cement on the also. My bird chewed through within a couple of days.

My cockatiel loves it!

Tweets like to sleep on his ladder by his mirror. His old ladder was getting beat up & wasn't as long as this new one which he prefers.

Great addition

Billy loves the coating on the steps. I do wish it was a little bit longer, but it still works great. Thank you!

Bad news for your birds feet

This ladder is especially bad for birds feet. Sharp edges can poke skin and create wounds that then become infected. I lost a bird to foot infection. Removed these
