This is the first wild birdseed I've ever bought that at least some of the bird refused to eat. I noticed they were leaving the black oil sunflower seeds. They eat black oil sunflower in other brands, so I'm not sure if there was something wrong with the seeds this brand uses. It was very strange.

It’s great if you want to bring some biodiversity into your yard! Oddly enough, even some lizards have been hanging around where the bird seed is! It’s really neat. My only complaint is that it is mostly sunflower seeds. It would be nice if the ratio of types of seeds was a little different. But still worth it in my opinion because the seeds are good quality.

It has black oil sunflower seeds, Premium quality peanuts, and other Top Quality ingredients. And...no corn!! The package suggests visiting the website on how to attract the birds. If the product falls short, it's suggested you call the company to give them a chance to make it right. Also, it's blended in the USA. I set up the food in there different places and eagerly awaiting for the birds to show.

I appreciate the ratio of millet to sunflower seeds in this mix-- plenty of those popular black sunflower seeds, which are a favourite for birds. The addition of peanuts means even the woodpeckers have reason to visit the feeder, though there isn't a large volume of them that I can see. No twigs or bugs in my bag which is a huge plus!

So why do I have a photo of an empty bird feeder? This Backyard Blend bird food is so popular with my birdie visitors that I have trouble keeping it in stock. They all gather in the trees and fence twittering at me and waiting for me to replenish the feeder. This is a premium blend of sunflower seeds and other grains that is extremely well liked and draws a lot of avian traffic. I love to see them all coming and enjoying the feast and knowing that it is all nutritious and good for them.
All the birds seem to enjoy this feed very much.

I added this to my bird feeder outside and have been watching the birds. I usually have lots of tufted titmouse birds at the feeder, but after adding this I have noticed more Cardinals and other birds at the feeder. They really do seem to like it. I will make sure to purchase this in the future.

I love the variety of seeds in this backyard bird seed mix. I always find I get a better variety of birds visiting my feeder when I have a seed mix rather than only sunflower seeds. I haven't been able to capture a picture of the birds visiting the feeder yet but the cardinals, finches, thrashers, and other local birds seem to love it!
Maybe it's meant for birds in a different area?
I'm in Southern California, in a rural area. I've had this in my feeder for 2 weeks and no birds have sampled it. Lots of birds come around my backyard for the fruit

Lots of birds come around my backyard for the fruit trees, nectar feeders, and chicken food, but none have shown an interest in this mix. It's unfortunate. I'd have loved to see more birds out my kitchen window.
