I tried this bird mix out on my chickens, African Grey, and even the wild birds at my feeder. There was never leftovers, no matter which bird. I especially liked the selected mixture of seeds and nuts - Black Oil Sunflower, Peanut Splits, Safflower, Sunflower Chips, Raisins, Tree Nuts (Almonds, Walnuts, Pecans, and Pistachios), Striped Sunflower, White Millet, Red Milo - to name a few. I swear, by the second day of feeding this mix, there were more birds than ever around my house. Word spreads fast when the food is good.

There is something in this mix for all the birds in my neighborhood. I have had multiple purple finches, grosbeaks, stellar jays, woodpeckers and big ringneck pigeons feasting on my feeder. I was surprised at the quality of the food. The dried fruit is still soft (which to me means FRESH) There are large pieces of walnuts, whole almonds & hazelnuts mixed in with all the sunflower and safflower seeds. Great variety! There are a few small pieces of shell and sticks. But honestly I have never bought a bird seed that doesn't have some in it. Overall, I would recommend this blend.

I leave nuts and granola for the squirrels by my front door along with some Orijen cat food. One day, I discovered the birds including a cardinal are eating the nuts and granola, too. I picked this bag among other brands became of its ingredients. It has nuts, sunflower seeds and other smaller seeds, and non-GMO. Someone ate all the nuts and sunflower seeds, leaving sunflower seed shells all around the bowl. Delicious! I'm going to continue to feed the critters the Whole Foods' organic nuts and these.
Looks tasty!!
