Good and sturdy but a couple of issues

The base structure for this is very sturdy and made of 95% recycled plastic which I like. The two black wire inserts are a bit flimsy and don’t lock into place

The base structure for this is very sturdy and made of 95% recycled plastic which I like. The two black wire inserts are a bit flimsy and don’t lock into place. This is good for cleaning, but somebody knocked one of them out already to the ground. I am using it as a feeder itself instead of a seed catcher. This is probably better for that intended use, but it actually causes more seeds to spill out onto the ground from under the black wire inserts when used this way. It is a bit pricey, but I do understand that this brand is a top brand in this industry so to be expected. I had to DIY the piece onto a pole, so I did drill into the bottom. It is fairly thick and took the screws similar to if it were made of wood, so I do not think it’s going anywhere. The birds found it a few days ago, and they’ve been using it. A squirrel found it this morning, and it was also enjoying it (I do not mind the squirrels personally). Overall, it is a quality piece but could use a way to lock the inserts better into place. I would use this brand again.

I think this bird feeder is a pretty simple, straightforward design. Looks to be well made. I wasn't sure about how the screens would stay in and the food, but it seems to be working well. The downside for me is the cost and the fact that you still have to buy the pole and flange on top of the feeder. I was able to use a pole i already had to cut that cost, but did have to buy the flange to go on it. Overall i would say it seems durable, but would probably buy something more cost effective that comes with all the parts.

Overall, this is a nice bird feeder. I placed it next to my bird baths hoping to attract more birds but I do not see many visitors. The quality of the feeder is nice. I attached it on metal post which was easy but I recommend you get a cover/roof accessory to keep the food dry. It's easy to clean but I've wasted a lot of food.

Good platform feeder, but could be improved. The feeder itself is well made, very sturdy. The two metal tray inserts just set in, no locking mechanism. This is great for making the feeder easy to clean, but when you have wildlife that frequently visits your feeders, the black metal inserts are sure to go missing or fall out. For the price of the feeder, I wish it would include the post. An additional $80+ for a post is a bit much, so we will be making our own. Overall, good product, but could be improved.

We love this feeder for it's large size and sturdy construction. I do wish the screens were built into the platform, and that it came with the flange.
