Leaving The Bixbi Crew

This used to be all our girl would eat, the ingredients were fantastic, but after the last bag we've switched to a new food. I don't know if they changed the recipe, or have started cutting corners, but it's extremely noticeable. There's now a significant amount of dust/crumbs, the smell is different, and our girl won't even touch it anymore. We had to throw the entire bag out because she refused to eat at all after the first bowl made her sick. Now, even with a different food, we have to incorporate a little wet food just to get her to eat because she won't trust kibble anymore. Not to mention the price has gotten out of control for the new, poor, quality.

1 star. Do not recommend

I've fed the Bixbi Liberty Game Bird Feast. Our dogs loved it and there were zero quality issues. The last time I ordered, it was out of stock so I got the Rancher's Red. One of the dogs is fine with it but he'll eat anything that doesn't eat him first. My other wouldn't eat for two days. She still won't eat her entire portion. On top of that, about 25% into the bag, I started noticing dust. Not crumbs, food dust. This may just be a bad bag but I will never give it a 2nd chance to find out.

Ranchers Red

Bixbi Ranchers Red is the best food we have ever given our GSD. She loves it, and looks beautiful and is very healthy. She has skin and stomach issues and they have literally disappeared. Unfortunately we have to switch to a different brand as the prices have increased dramatically. We can't afford to buy the Ranchers Red as it has more than doubled, and the Beef flavour has gone up $30 a bag. When prices come down, we will switch back to Bixbi.

Okay but very expensive!

I decided to give this a try since my 10 month old puppy was having issues with itchy skin especially after eating poultry products. I liked that this didn't have a lot of fillers like grains and vegetables. I give vegetables as treats that way I can regulate what she might have issues with. I rated this 3 stars because most of the kibble in both bags had disintegrated into powder.

FINALLY! great proteins, high fiber, low allergen

Dog food that is affordable gluten free and grain friendly with wild protein instead of the common farmed allergy prone proteins. My dogs cannot get enough of this stuff. We have switched back and forth with both protein types and they get excited regardless. Its also high in fiber and my little guy was having some tummy upset with the high protein ratio in a lot of premium protein brands. We are happy to report the increased fiber to protein ratio has solved our problems and we have happy healthy bottoms again!

Never anything else!

I will never recommend any other food especially for those with allergens than Bixbi itself. After using Farmina N&D, Orijen, Merrick, and even script food recommended by our vet, amongst countless others, the nightmare ended. Our American Bully has so many allergens that are so common that After doing extensive testing we are able to find this by sheer chance. No more hives, no more stinky breath and no more G.I. issues! If you haven't switched, you need too!

Great Buy!

I bought this on a whim for my 10 pound poodle mix and it’s a winner for sure! Love the kibble size is so small. It’s very easy on his stomach. The ingredient list is super solid. And the price is amazing!
