When transitioning dog food, some dogs may be better by making a gradual transition over 7 to 10 days. Start with 25% of the new food mixed with 75% of the previous food and gradually increase the new while decreasing the previous until the transition is complete. The Daily Feeding Guide is a good starting point for daily feeding suggestions. If you feed more than once per day, simply divide the daily feeding amount by the number of times fed per day.
Picky eater? Sensitive stomach? BIXBI Rawbble Dry and Freeze-Dried recipes may be just what your furry friend needs. Made with thoughtfully selected ingredients for gut, renal and colon health, they are crafted with fresh, USDA-inspected and passed meat and poultry. These limited-ingredient, low-glycemic diets help supply the right quantity and quality of fresh meat proteins, with optimized amino acid absorption and balanced fiber levels for better health.

About BIXBI
The founder of BIXBI, James Crouch grew up on a mushroom farm, and it was there that he developed an appreciation for the powerful health benefits of farm-fresh foods. When he founded BIXBI decades later, he applied that knowledge to making organic mushroom supplements for dogs and cats. BIXBI’s product line has grown since those early days, but they’ve never lost sight of their mission: to provide pets with the absolute best in nutrition, with trusted ingredient sourcing and manufacturing in the USA.

What is the source of the egg in the ingredient list?
Answer by • May 16, 2022
This recipe uses chicken eggs. The eggs are non-fertilized, which means the eggs have a different amino acid profile than chicken and are safe for dogs with chicken allergies.
I haven't tried bixbi before.
I normally go with farmina or open farm for my senior dog but I love rotating to new things every bag. (Chewy is where I always go to try small bags of new brands and thankfully he isn't usually a picky dude.) I let my dogs taste test everything out of every chewy box right away. (spoiled.. I know.) Both of my dogs seem to like it so that's great!
The only "concerns" I have is that I think there are better options out there for the price range. I'm not excited about "vegetable flavor" which I didn't catch the first time I looked at the ingredients list. It's before the salt bar. (so are yellow peas, red lentils, and coconut flour).. maybe bixbi is trying to market themselves as a high quality kibble but don't be fooled like I was. ALWAYS check the ingredients carefully and know what you are looking for.

Quality & Dogs Love it
This has resolved allthe stomach issues my dog was having.
My German Shepherd had digestive issues as a puppy with her previous premium food (Diamond), we eventually figured out she was allergic to lamb (the vet said it was pretty common). They suggested for these dogs to buy duck, salmon, or rabbit. It was hard finding food without lamb product or meal.
I got this to replace it. She immediately took to it and loves it. So does her GS/husky sister.
I just wish it wasn't so expensive, she's big so i go through bags quickly. I understand why it's pricey, the process is more involved. So I'm not arguing that, but it has pushed me to look at other options. Science Diet (which was surprisingly less expensive than this one) seemed like a good replacement but it will be a bit before I know for sure.
This is a really great dog food and my dogs do well with it, it just adds up with bigger dogs.

Think it's a bad batch?
I normally never write a bad review about the bad smell of dog food, because it all smells bad to me lol. However, I opened the bag and it smells like barf. I don't know if it's the normal smell of this kibble or not, but I have truly never had dog food smell like this before. Plus my dogs refused to eat it even with the freeze dried toppers they love. That's what really made me think it might be rancid.
