We recommend brushing dog teeth starting between 4 and 6 months of age with Black Sheep Organics toothpaste. That is when they begin losing puppy teeth and gaining adult teeth. A pea-sized amount to start. It is easier to get used to the routine when they are young.

I was using an enzymatic toothpaste that I don't think was actually cleaning the teeth. We have now gone through an entire container of the Black Sheep Organic and

I was using an enzymatic toothpaste that I don't think was actually cleaning the teeth. We have now gone through an entire container of the Black Sheep Organic and my pup's teeth are way cleaner. He still has some tartar buildup, but not nearly as much as before, and it seems like if I keep brushing with this paste I might be able to avoid the teeth cleaning at the vet's. I hate giving my pup anesthesia. Plus his breath is way better.

After I brush my teeth, washing my face off etc.. getting ready to turn in for night night. Bethlehem waits for her teeth to be brushed too. I did purchase a brand

After I brush my teeth, washing my face off etc.. getting ready to turn in for night night. Bethlehem waits for her teeth to be brushed too. I did purchase a brand awhile back at the local pet store, but she didn't like it as much and at times refused to let me brush her teeth. She's happy that I got this again for her!

I personally like the mint smell better comparing to other brand’s. My 5-year-old Cavalier likes it a lot and his digest system reacts normal so far :)

So far my dog loves this toothpaste far more than the past ones I’ve used! Which is really great! It makes me feel such relief that my dog won’t fuss anymore when it comes to brushing his teeth. And btw the peppermint that is used in the toothpaste is not the same as peppermint oil! I saw a review that was confusing the two. Yes peppermint OIL is bad for dogs but peppermint is not. As long as it’s diluted and used in small amounts which usually is when used as an ingredient in dog toothpaste. It makes it safe for dogs and helps freshen up their breath.
