Great suction for small spaces

We've been satisfied with this vacuum so far! We use it for small spills on the floor and on furniture and it does a good job at sucking up the crumbs and dirt

So disappointing!

I have purchased other Black + Decker hand vacs and been very pleased with them, but this hand vacuum was a huge disappointment from the get-go. Just didn't have

Just didn't have the suction it should have had (and that other models do), even when I flipped the switch that increased the suction. I wish I had not thrown the box away, as I would have returned it and requested a refund.

it worked well ONCE. then when i took it apart to clean the filter - somehow the super cheap little flap over the intake fell off... and then the plastic bit that

it worked well ONCE. then when i took it apart to clean the filter - somehow the super cheap little flap over the intake fell off... and then the plastic bit that was somehow wedged in there fell out, and there's no way to stick them back in securely. just poor construction. also the brush attaches securely BUT as soon as it's pulled back the extension (that is not securely clicked in a position) starts to move out and then the brush stops. you have to turn the entire thing off (which means hitting 'turbo' and scaring the cats) before hitting it again to turn it off. SO ridiculous and seem like real easy problems to fix from an engineering standpoint. not sure i can use it again if i can't figure out how to put the flap back on somehow. the suction is MUCH better than my last vacuum though, so i wish it worked well otherwise.

Sucks up hair

Great for sucking up cat hair on rugs and upholstery. Not as great at sucking up cat litter but still works.

I'm not happy with this purchase. I originally bought it to clean our carpeted stairs. It's smaller than anticipated and the suction is poor, even on the highest

I'm not happy with this purchase. I originally bought it to clean our carpeted stairs. It's smaller than anticipated and the suction is poor, even on the highest setting. I'm kicking myself for throwing away the box before testing it. I could have spent the $90 on a full-size vacuum that I know works for pet hair and cat litter. I had to lug around the heavy vacuum anyway because this one just didn't do the job.

Noise level over 90 decibels! Does NOT pick up Samoyed fur from a well groomed dog. Waste of MONEY.

I’ve tried to like this vacuum

Purchased through Chewy on discount. Better price than say at Ace Hardware. Did some research first and Wirecutter recommended this vacuum for pet hair and foe cars

Purchased through Chewy on discount. Better price than say at Ace Hardware. Did some research first and Wirecutter recommended this vacuum for pet hair and foe cars. Wanted a nice small unit for our camper van. First one had a problematic filter, dust escaped the unit, and it made an excess amount of noise. Hearing protection worthy. Talked with Black and Decker, sent photos, and they kindly sent me a new one. I remain disappointed as this one doesn’t pick up dust, dirt, and hair on hard surfaces worth a darn. Suction on the highest setting is minimal. It works slightly better on carpet to pick up hair, thus a 2 star rating. I am still searching for the small handheld vacuum that will pick up pet hair and dust. Perhaps it’s a hopeless quest.

Not worth it- head doesn’t stay on

This is a real disappointment. The pet head does not latch on in anyway that I could figure out and so repeatedly falls off and has to be stuck back on. Receptacle

This is a real disappointment. The pet head does not latch on in anyway that I could figure out and so repeatedly falls off and has to be stuck back on. Receptacle is not very big but the main issue is the lack of latch keeping the head on. You pay a premium for this part and it really is not functional. For $100 I’m sure there is better out there.
