Tasty But Not Heart Healthy

I prefer to feed my big orange guy grain free to reduce his risk of urinary obstruction-so we were excited to give this bag a try. Overall he loves the lamb flavor!

I prefer to feed my big orange guy grain free to reduce his risk of urinary obstruction-so we were excited to give this bag a try. Overall he loves the lamb flavor! It’s been a good mix in for his chicken, duck and wild boar flavored kibbles. The kibbles are very small which is great for my hungry hedgehog, and they had no diarrhea or vomiting while eating this new kibble. I really love the bag size options and the ease of opening and closing the bag while keeping the food inside super fresh. The only reason I would not recommend feeding this exclusively is due to the legume content. With cats being prone to HCM and hedgehogs being prone to DCM-especially on grain free-legume containing diets, it’s not something I’m comfortable feeding full time. But it would be a good mix-in for added flavor.

Cats love these food - great for cats with poultry allergy

I have a cat with a poultry allergy, and it's been hard finding food that contains no chicken, turkey, or duck. Even most wet foods that are supposedly fish flavors

I have a cat with a poultry allergy, and it's been hard finding food that contains no chicken, turkey, or duck. Even most wet foods that are supposedly fish flavors are actually chicken! On top of that, once we find a non-poultry food, it's hard finding one they'll actually eat. They eat this one! We tried some of the other flavors by this brand and they didn't like them, but they specifically love this lamb flavor!

I have three cats and they all loved this food. Especially my senior cat who is extremely picky!! I usually have to rotate their food because she gets bored and will refuse to eat certain foods after a while. They eat a mix of canned and raw food but this was a great topper for my senior girl who was refusing to eat her regular food. It helped her finish each of her meals and im grateful for that. All three cats are happy big purr the house is shaking

I usually stick with hairball-control cat food for my cat, Oliver, but I decided to try Blackwood Bounty Grain-Free Red M—and wow, this one is a hit! The first thing I noticed is how fresh and delicious it smells compared to other dry foods. Oliver picked up on that right away too, he absolutely loves it and cleans his bowl every time. It’s a nice option to mix into his routine, and I feel good knowing it’s grain-free and made with quality ingredients. Even though it’s not his regular hairball formula, it’s become a new favorite in our house and definitely something I’ll keep on hand.

Cats love , I feed feral cats along with TNR and rehome the ones that I tame , since in my area we almost monthly have new cats appear some friendly some not , it is never ending but I try along with some other neighbors . But we are always looking for better foods that are affordable for injured or kittens , I picked the red meat grain free because I must have the pickiest colony of cats , almost all of them will not eat chicken or certain fish which makes it hard to Trap them to be fixed or vetted . I mixed some of this food in their regular food & each cat seek out this food not sure if it was because it was different or the smell or taste but I even had some cats go to other bowls which many of the cats only eat from certain bowls & certain areas , so I say it was a hit with the cats , I will buy another bag & use for traps when they need fixed or a vet .
