Original same name Baby Blue Healthy Growth Formula Chicken was more moist Also label was blue & label more importantly stated Grain Free. This formula has a pinkish colored label. No longer highlights it is grain free and is denser product less moist and cats dislike. Won't eat. I had a few cans of original left and set aside with the salmon I also bought same line for kitten growth and Baby Blue. They did not like Salmon. Anyway hate to stop buying this when the original formula was so well received. Maybe Import ingredients or tariffs have led to change but no matter the cause behind the change Blue Buffalo and Chewy needs to clearly state same name but NEW formula and no longer grain free and new label changes. I would have bought one trial pack instead I bought multiple packs of this size of 6 can packs. We serve it as an over night food but most if not all is there in the morning? It gets dumped out of course for fresh & food the growing kits will eat.

Confusing labeling for wet kitten chicken formulas

So they have 3 different kitten labels now for chicken flavor and I found out by accident. It wouldn't matter but it does. Kittens don't like even slight changes

Kittens don't like even slight changes in flavor from what they previously loved. Because this brand can't seem to keep batch flavors, same label, consistent either; I have to move along to try other brands.

Respecting this reputable brand and the fact that chicken is generally well tolerated by cats, and having a new kitten, I set up auto-shipments for this food. That was a mistake. I do believe the food is good for my kitten, so instead of giving it away, I HIDE it by mixing it into other wet food that he prefers. He can still tell when this food is present, though; he consumes his mixed meals much slower than when I offer him pure wet food from another brand. For those of you who have ordered this food and find that your kitten won't eat it--try mixing in some hot water to make it more enticing and mixing in a little beef, turkey, or seafood flavored wet food to cover the taste.

Blue is chopped finer than other pates and thats a plus for the cats I am rehabilitating. I bought this by accident thinking it was the grain free chicken and salmon. This one is grainier and leaves black pieces that don't blend in the Ninja and they won't eat it so I guess I will have to donate it to someone else.
