About BLUE Buffalo
Blue Buffalo began with unconditional love and some furry inspiration from a large breed Airedale, Blue. When Blue's family started a pet food company, their vision was clear. They wanted every pet parent to be able to feed their pet with the same care they would feed family. So they created the #1 natural pet specialty food to help furry family members live happy, healthy lives. Of course, they named it after Blue.

Newborn Experience
By DogFood on Sep 11, 2020
I initially began weaning my newborn puppies on a different canned food -- Blue Buffalo Wilderness puppy food (turkey and chicken grill). When I introduced this Freedom flavor to their diet, their poops became runny. This may not have happened if I started with this flavor instead, but I did not expect this to happen since it was still the Blue Buffalo brand. I switched back to the other and their poopies are back to being solid which makes it easier to clean up. I gave 3 stars because the pups liked it enough and they continued their healthy development for the few days we tried it.

not for my puppy
By Emily on Sep 21, 2020
In the beginning, I thought it was great. He was gaining weight but now every time I give it to him, he vomits it right back up. I scheduled a vet visit because he obviously has some sort of allergy. anyone need almost a case of wet puppy food.

Another bad choice.
By Kathymom2 on Apr 6, 2020 Top 500 Contributor
I mixed this in with the Blue Buffalo dry puppy food and my German Shepherd only ate it twice. Then he wouldn't eat it unless he was really hungry. My adult dog wouldn't eat it at all and he eats everything. Had problems with excessive shedding. Switched to another brand and he is eating well, no shedding and looks healthy. Sorry, there is something odd about this brand.

Pit boxer mix loved this in the beginning
By katy on Jan 31, 2020
My 10 month old wolfed this down with a mix of dry food, but won't touch it now because it gave her the occasional runs, an upset stomach and really stinky gas. We tried it for a month, but we need to try something else

Great starter food
By FancyPrancer on Sep 1, 2019
I purchased this as a starter food to transition my puppies from nursing to solid food. I placed some out, not forcing it and the puppies took to it immediately. Now the little rascals chase me around thinking that I’m about to give them some more. It’s a pate with a few slivers of carrots and peas.

My chihuahua isn't crazy about this
By Pretty on Sep 15, 2019
Was a little disappointed. More like mush that ground meat. My pup isn't crazy about it. Likes wet pedigree better

Not so much
By Debra on May 24, 2019
I bought this food in hopes that it would help by little 5.7 lb. dog put on a little weight since it’s made for puppies. I figured it would be tastier and have more calories. Neither I guess, she doesn’t seem to like it any better than her regular food and at her checkup, she hadn’t gained an ounce. Maybe someone could give me some suggestions?
