A good meal for your beloved pets starts at home. Who needs a fishing pole to catch salmon for your dogs? Blue Buffalo Life Protection Formula Senior Chicken-Free Salmon & Brown Rice Recipe Dry Dog Food is the next best thing for their appetite. When you open the bag, you can practically smell the salmon. The dry kibble is solid and has a pleasant aroma. This is a very small kibble. It's corn, chicken, wheat, and soy-free, with no chicken-by-product meals. Designed for senior dogs 7 years and older, it provides a balanced blend of essential nutrients to help them feel their best. As soon as it hit their bowls, they dove in. Zeus turned and smiled at me. Zara started licking her lips. They both looked up, begging for more. I got a paw up from them. They both enjoyed this treat. I would have to say that Blue Buffalo Salmon and Brown Rice food for dogs is a hit at my house. Both of my dogs seem to really like it. I think my Bullmastiff, Connie, is staying more full for a longer period of time than on her old food. Being a Bullmastiff, she will eat anytime, anywhere, and anything she can get. She usually starts to pace 30-40 mins before her dinner time of 5:00 but with this food she makes it until 5:00 or even a little later! Unheard of for her. My Akita/Lab/Chow rescue seems happy with it as well. Their breathe seems less fishy with the Blue Buffalo as well. One thing about using Salmon as a protein, it's easy on the tummy but it does make for some bad smelling breathe. I have not noticed this as much with the BB. Blue Buffalo is not an inexpensive food(none are these days) but I think it will be worth the extra money. A 2 paws up vote from Connie and Jeffrey!

We have an old Beagle who has become picky-so surprising for a Beagle! She has not cared much for the “Mature/Old Lady” food we have been buying. This was our fourth brand of food and the only one she will eat completely, even with a topper. I like this food because she is allowed a larger amount calorically, so she is full after her meal. There has been no gastric distress with this food. Her stool is solid and she has not been passing gas. She has actually shown a little more spunk since being on this food. She has begun standing on her hind legs again, smelling for food on the counters, which hasn’t happened in probably a year! I am so pleased that she is happy with this food and I am happy that she seems to feel better after eating this brand for a month.

He is sensitive to a lot of proteins and recently started having reactions when eating chicken. I really like that this formula contains no chicken at all. He immediately eats as soon as I put the food down, he loves how it tastes! The ingredients are great! A perfect blend for sensitive senior bellies. We approve!!

I've been wanting to try Blu Buffalo for a while now. I love that this is chicken free without any poultry by products since one of my dogs I suspect to be allergic

I've been wanting to try Blu Buffalo for a while now. I love that this is chicken free without any poultry by products since one of my dogs I suspect to be allergic. The 1st ingredient is salmon which is another plus and it's geared towards dogs 7 years old and older. I have 2 dogs over the age of 8. I feel my dogs enjoyed this food so I am now considering switching my two senior dogs to this product.

This food is similar to the Blue Buffalo my senior dog already gets, but with some extra nutrients for an aging dog. She seemed very interested in the food over her current kibble and happily ate it mixed into her current food. I haven't noticed any digestive issues, she has a very sensitive stomach and so we have to be careful about ingredients. No chicken in this mix is great!
