Overrated
Very overrated. I had my dog on the longevity and at one time the lamb and rice. With both foods I had trouble managing his weight. It yo yo'd up and then to normal
Very overrated. I had my dog on the longevity and at one time the lamb and rice. With both foods I had trouble managing his weight. It yo yo'd up and then to normal and up. And this was not dependent on excercise, etc. I question the calorie content and I definitely question the wisdom of food overloaded with grains. In addition, I had a cat on Blue Buffalo low calorie and I had the same issue. I switched to Back to Basics and have been able to keep his weight consistent and even have been able to feed him more food than on any Blue Buffalo food. I do think it is generally good food, but I also think it is a lot of hype and money spent on chic commercials.

I am extremely impressed with this food.
I usually change dry food and rotate wet/canned food. The dry food every 8 months or so and the canned ongoing. I have 4 standard wire dachshunds ~ all champions

I have 4 standard wire dachshunds ~ all champions and they have been fed high end food most of their lives. I find the Longevity (Blue Buffalo) to keep their coats healthy, not dry, and their "poops" perfect!

I have a 52 pound, 5 year old boxer that has extremely bad arthritis. She is on a strict diet to maintain her weight. I have tried several different Blue Buffalo formulas for her, but this Longevity formula is the best at keeping her full while maintaining her weight. In the past, I had problems with her not getting full with the amount of calories she was allowed to intake so she was constantly hungry which resulted in her getting into the trash. I realized I had been starving my baby and immediately explored other options where she could get the maximum amount of calories to be full without weight gain. Although I highly recommend any Blue Buffalo formulas to anyone, this particular Longevity formula for mature dogs works best for my peace of mind and for filling up my baby's stomach!
