He likes the dry but not the wet

My cat is 15 and he's had kidney disease for quite a few years. I've tried many varieties of prescription kidney food and I can't find one wet food he likes. I hooe

My cat is 15 and he's had kidney disease for quite a few years. I've tried many varieties of prescription kidney food and I can't find one wet food he likes. I hooe I can return these. He will eat the dry food, though so at least it's half a win. He is eating this dry food, the Hills and Royal Canin dry kidney foods along with Fancy Feast.

Got kitty eating again!

Since dealing with renal issues Hazel has not been very inclined to eat anything - this she happily eats this with no upset stomach. So glad!

Our sweet Tiger is having kidney issues. We were told to get him on a prescriptive diet and encourage fresh water all the time. They love the dry food but the wet food is always left alone. We have tried Hills and Royal Canine. Unfortunately, we just can't find a good kidney formula wet food.

My vet recommended that I switch my 14-year-old cats from their mature cat food to a food designed to help with kidney function and mobility. I have always given my girls wet and dry food, and for the last several years they have eaten Blue Buffalo grain-free mature wet cat food, and the Blue Buffalo hairball and weight management dry food. I was concerned about the transition from their current food to the Kidney & Mobility food. I decided to stick with Blue Buffalo as a brand and the transition has gone very well, slowly mixing the new food with the old food until they are amost totally on the K&M food. I'm grateful Blue Buffalo makes the K&M food which will aid my girls kidney function and mobility now that they are in their later years.

Its not always easy to find a kidney food that my senior kitty likes but he likes both of these dry and wet foods. It seems the wet food has been improved. I always add water to my cats wet food to get more moisture into their system and I just added more water to this food so it was palatable. Its not as dry and firm as it was a year or so ago. It mixes better now. 5 Stars

My kitty has reached the point with her ckd she needs a prescription food. They only offer science diet at the vet and honestly I'm not a fan of that brand. She's a carnivore and I don't want her eating corn meal and the other garbage in their food. This wasn't my first choice either but she just can't have all the protein anymore and at least BB dry she's excited to eat and it has decent ingredients. Unfortunately she hates the wet food and I can't blame her, it's like they squeezed every drop of moisture out of it and it's basically cat food pate cement. I tried adding liquid but no joy. So dry it is. So we'd recommend the dry and say too dry to the pate
