Great product for easy keepers
Our 2 horses love the Blue Mountain High Altitude Grass Hay. I put the Teff grass hay in 2 feeders and our regular high quality orchard grass hay in 1 feeder. Both
Our 2 horses love the Blue Mountain High Altitude Grass Hay. I put the Teff grass hay in 2 feeders and our regular high quality orchard grass hay in 1 feeder. Both horses turned their noses up on the orchard grass hay (although they ate all of it last night) and went straight to the Teff grass hay. It it 100% grass with no stalks or weeds. The box makes for easy, clean storage and takes up less space than typical grass hay in square bales. After you open the box of Teff grass hay and remove the 3 straps, it is easy to remove the compressed flakes from the box and place it in your feeders. I see no cons for Teff grass hay except the higher price. Teff grass hay is for easy-keepers like our retired boys. I like that it is high in protein and fiber and lower in sugar.

This fine hay was absolutely loved by my 26-yr metabolic gelding. It’s easily chewed and very digestible so i mixed it with his other forage mix. It helps prevent his digestive issues. My other horse did not care for it as much but ate it anyways. The 50lbs box lasted me a couple of weeks. It’s packed tight but it’s easy to remove either by a whole flake or handfuls at a time. The hay is so clean and i like that it’s in a cardboard box and not in plastic.

It’s packed very nicely and the slabs come apart so easily. It’s definitely a product I would purchase again and worth the money for what you are receiving.

Just ordered this option of hay for one of my horses on a special diet (no grain), so I supplement with extra hay. I wasn’t dissatisfied…the box contains a single densely pack bale of hay and it is the full 50lbs! Quite heavy. Was very please when i unpacked the hay was beautiful! Perfectly cured and with no trash/weeds. When it came time for the taste test it also passed with flying colors. My Peruvian LOVES it! Definitely would recommend and purchase again.

I've been wanting to try Tef hay for some time and since it's not readily available in my areathis was a good way to try it. It's low sugar content is supposed to be great for PPID horses. Unfortunately our ppid mare passed a few months ago but our remaining horses were happy to give it a try. The compacted hay is a great way to transport when traveling. This 50 lb brick is perfect for that. A large amount of forage can be carried in a small space. Our horses ate it with no problem If your planning to travel with your horses consider one of these compacted bales. Very convenient and a great forage

This 50# of Blue Mountain Hay comes in a nicely wrapped box in a bail. This is high altitude Pacific Northwest Hay, You can feed this to horses donkeys bunnies goats Alpaca and guinea pigs. This hay is great for horses with metabolic and digestive issues, I liked the look and smell of this hay and my horses and bunnies ate it up. This is a family farm that gives back to community and I really like that too. I recommend this product.

Arrived in the box and was tightly bound - as expected. Animals loved it. Been enjoying the compressed bales. All my species liked it, from horse, cow, goat, sheep, and rabbits. I will be adding this to my rabbit's routine on a more permanent basis, if anyone has small pets like rabbits, this is cost effective compared the the common smaller bags/boxes of hay found in stores.

The hay was fine with about 80% the width of spaghetti, 5% the width of fettuccini and the other 15% somewhere in between. Seems like a really good quality hay.
