I decider to try the Orchard Grass pellets as a change of pace for my senior schoolmaster. Timothy and Alfalfa are the general available options, not so much Orchard grass. Upon opening the bag, the scent was fresh and sweet, the pellets a beautiful green. Tuxedo has been consuming the Orchard Grass Pellets with Gusto. He’s started calling for them at night-check. Two Thumbs Up! I’ll definitely keep using them as part of his hay pellet rotation.

We’ve been using the Blue Mountain Hay Orchard Grass Pellets, and our 6 horses are obsessed. They meet us at the gate as soon as they see the bag come out. The pellets smell fresh and clean… just like real hay…soft texture, easy to hand-feed without any dust or waste. They soften quickly with a little water, making them perfect for seniors with little to no teeth. It’s become part of our little daily routine.

This is a super quality pellet that all my horses and even my rabbits love! It doesn’t need to soak for long which is great for busy horse owners. It mixes well with my horses’ AM and PM feed. It is great for my seniors who have a hard time chewing regular hay and keeps their weight ideal! Highly recommend if you have any animal that eats hay!

Love the texture, size and the dust free pellets, they smell awesome. That being said I have 3 horses, one is very picky and the other two pretty much will eat anything. It took Mr picky about 5 feedings before he decided he liked it, my gelding who eats anything pretty much gobbled it up from the get go however my mare took a few feeding before she decided she liked it. I only gave 4 stars because I felt all my horses should have really liked it for the price and the size of the bag.

We couldn't be happier with the Blue Mountain Hay High Altitude Orchard Grass Hay Pellets. The high quality is immediately apparent. They are consistently fresh, firm, and virtually dust-free, which is a huge plus for respiratory health. My picky eater loves the taste, and the pellet form makes managing portions and reducing waste incredibly easy. This is a superior, convenient source of nutrition that truly stands above other hay products we've tried.

I have a senior horse who needs soaked feed and forage. These pellets absorbed the water well, and he seemed to really like them. I also used them unsoaked as part of the training grain mix i use when doing positive reinforcement training. All seemed to like it. It does appear more costly than what I usually use.
Great for travel and for stretching hay supply
My horses and goats eat these readily when I need to stretch my hay supply, and their tummies don’t mind the switch. Love having them on hand since they are easy
My horses and goats eat these readily when I need to stretch my hay supply, and their tummies don’t mind the switch. Love having them on hand since they are easy to store and come in very handy when I run short on hay and can’t make it to the feed store for a couple of days.

My horses love these hay pellets! They smell great, have a lovely color and are delicious. I like the size of the pellets because they are small enough not to cause a choke so I can feed them dry. A big plus is the hay is field tested and they list the sugar (ESC) on the label.

Good alternative instead of hay bales.
After very slowly introducing the Orchard Grass pellets into my horse and donkey's diet, I found that the donkey loved it, and my horse preferred her baled hay
