We are extremely happy with these alfalfa pellets, and would definitely recommend to any equine owners -- especially those with senior horses. We have a mare in her mid-thirties that suffers from PPID and many other health issues; these pellets have been great for her, and she has no complaints at all regarding the taste of them. They absorb water very fast and well, and have all the nutritional needs we were looking for. We will purchase these again in the near future.

These are great quality pellets. I have been searching for just straight alfalfa pellets with nothing else in them and these delivered. There are no additional fillers or grass hay. We have a horse with cushings and the vet said to give him straight alfalfa, no grass. He loves these. I soak them for about 30 minutes and then add his grain and other supplements. He looks forward to it every morning.

I was skeptical because the price point was higher than I typically pay for alfalfa pellets but as the saying goes “you get what you pay for”. When I opened the bag I knew immediately they were going to be a hit. No dust. Smelled amazing. Bright green in color. The pellets are hard enough to maintain shape but soft enough to easily break apart with my fingers. I use them as daily as a mixer to get my horses supplements and medication into them. Now don’t get me wrong, they love all alfalfa pellets, but I feel better knowing I am feeding them the highest quality pellets I can!
Highly recommend!

The day this arrived I brought it out to the barn and mixed some into my 2 horses food, they loved it! Licked clean! Getting them in their stalls in the evening for dinner used to be a struggle but by day 2 they were coming running to the barn for dinner. Im always looking for healthy products to add into their food to make it less "boring" and this definitely hit the nail on the head. The pellets are the perfect size and the scent isnt overwhelming like other products I've tried in the past. I've even noticed my chickens seem to come running to "clean up" whatever mess the horse dropped. This product is great and i will be ordering again!

Our 32 year old horse has trouble maintaining weight now that he has Cushing disease. We have added a ration of soaked alfalfa pellets twice per day to his daily feeding and it has improved his condition very much. He is going into winter with a nice layer if insulation!🙂. He is eager to eat it, and the donkeys are all jealous that they don’t get any. The pellets are a good size and smell very fresh and good. We also use the pellets dry as training treats as we teach the donkeys to accept handling and farrieing. I whole heartedly recommend this product

This is perfect for my older horses that has trouble chewing hay. It also allows me to monitor his alfalfa intake compared to the cubes. The pellets soak up the water quickly and are easy to digest. I have 3 older horses and feed them the alfalfa pellets twice a day to maintain their weight. Great addition to their feeding.

I will continue to purchase these to supplement my horse’s diet, especially in times when his available hay is lower in alfalfa percentages. He loves the taste and always eats his alfalfa pellet “soup” before his other hay and grain at night.

This is a quality, mid-size alfalfa pellet. It smells good as soon as you open the bag, and there's very little dust. It's also palatable. In an ideal world, if the pellets were smaller, they would soak faster. As it is, you should allow a minimum of a few hours.
